Friday-night Seoul Korean BBQ with a 10-minute wait: Yukjjip, Eungam

Yukjjip Eungam Main Branch is a Korean BBQ restaurant on Bulgwangcheon-gil right in front of Eungam Station in Eunpyeong, Seoul, grilling Jirisan Baro Handon pork belly and pork neck. A Friday 7pm visit meant a 10-minute wait for a second-floor window seat over the stream, where staff grilled the Yukjjip Moduem platter (54,000 won: whole pork belly, pork neck, gabrisal and mixed vegetables) from start to finish, so even the thick pork neck arrived cooked just right, served with doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew). With an opening event putting soju at 1,000 won and beer at 2,000 won, Yukjjip keeps the drinks bill remarkably low.
