Where is Beurre Beurre Konkuk University Rodeo Branch?

Beurre Beurre Konkuk University Rodeo Branch is an ice cream shop right in the middle of Konkuk Rodeo Street. Beurre Beurre is the ice cream people say you have to try once when you visit Seongsu~ It was a brutally hot summer day and the shop caught my eye on Konkuk Rodeo Street, so I went straight in to meet it: Beurre Beurre Konkuk University Rodeo Branch!

It's about a 3-minute walk from Exit 6 of Konkuk Univ. Station, so really close haha. The weather was so, so, so hot I almost died, so I walked right in.

How much is the Beurre Beurre lunch discount pint?

When I visited, Beurre Beurre Konkuk University Rodeo Branch was running a lunchtime discount event. If you come between 12 and 2pm, you can get the ₩11,200 three-flavor pint for just ₩10,000!!!!! I walked in so excited haha.

Kiosk ordering, seating and atmosphere at Beurre Beurre

At Beurre Beurre Konkuk University Rodeo Branch you order and pay at a kiosk, then pick up your ice cream. For eating in, there are two 2-person tables (4 seats total) plus a small stool to rest on haha.

Retro vibes, like a classic American diner picked up and dropped right here!

Eating cold ice cream in an interior that's such a treat for the eyes blew the midsummer heat clean away haha.

What does the name Beurre Beurre mean?

Beurre Beurre Konkuk University Rodeo Branch sells a variety of drinks besides ice cream~ I was curious what the brand name meant, and apparently it's the French word for butter, repeated twice haha.

True to the name, they say they insist on premium butter imported from France, only the top-grade kind with 82% milk fat, for their ice cream. Maybe that's why the ice cream tasted so clean and good!

The shop sells lots of different ice creams, and I roughly knew that more butter means richer, deeper flavor, but actually eating ice cream made with premium butter made the difference much easier to feel haha.

Ice cream flavors at Beurre Beurre Konkuk University Rodeo Branch

With cute, witty flavor names like Oh!Lemonge and Vanilla Boomerang, this Konkuk ice cream spot gave off a strong MZ-generation (young Korean) vibe haha.

Of course there are also flavors with devoted fans, like Joseon Rice, Walnut Caramel, Nilla Nilla Caramel Dance, Matcha and Mint Choco,

and names like Eomchindal (strawberry; Korean slang for the "mom's friend's perfect daughter") that let you picture the flavor at a glance, so I wanted to try them all one by one haha.

If you're not sure what a flavor tastes like, you can ask for a free-sample taste, so I recommend trying what you're curious about before ordering!

The ₩10,000 triple pint: Walnut Caramel, Mint Choco Prince, Nilla Nilla Caramel Dance

I went on a weekday lunch, got the pint discount, ordered 3 flavors for just ₩10,000, and ate them in the shop +_+

The Beurre Beurre triple (3-flavor) package is cute too, so it was fun to take photos haha. I picked Walnut Caramel, Mint Choco Prince and Nilla Nilla Caramel Dance, and it was totally my style!

What is Beurre Beurre ice cream's texture like?

Ice cream is usually made with lots of air worked in, aiming for a light, soft texture, but they say Beurre Beurre keeps the air content as low as possible! Maybe that's why my first bite was much denser and heavier in taste and texture than store-bought ice cream,

not watery stuff that melts away in your mouth at once, but something that lingers with rich flavor and aroma and melts slowly and smoothly?!

The most memorable flavor: Mint Choco Prince

Especially the Mint Choco Prince ㅠㅠ Mint-choco fans would be so happy with its bright, rich mint flavor and aroma, so much so that even as I write this I can still recall the Beurre Beurre Mint Choco Prince scent hahaha.

Every one of them, Caramel Dance, Walnut Caramel and the rest, had the real flavor of the ingredients and a smooth creamy texture with a heavy, lingering finish, so it was hard to put my spoon down until the whole tub was empty hahaha.

Would I go back to Beurre Beurre Konkuk University Rodeo Branch?

With so many other flavors on offer, I'm already looking forward to which ones I'll try next time at this Konkuk ice cream spot! The staff were kind and friendly too, so it was a lovely dessert place in Konkuk where I enjoyed my stay haha.
