This post is a review of Bas Burger Samseong Station Branch. It's a restaurant very close to my girlfriend's office in Samseong-dong, and while I've written up plenty of Bas Burger visits before, I think this is my first time covering the Samseong Station branch specifically. Let's get right into it.
Where is Bas Burger Samseong Station Branch, and what are its hours?
Bas Burger Samseong Station Branch is open daily from 11:00 to 21:00, with last order at 20:30. This handmade burger restaurant, a Samseong-dong favorite, is roughly a 7-minute walk from Samseong Station Exit 2.
Outside Bas Burger: terrace tables on Teheran-ro
Outside there are about 6 outdoor tables set up, a mix of 2- and 4-tops, perfect for sitting outside on an autumn day. The weather's warmed up a lot since I started writing this post, so it seems like a good time to eat out there soon.
Inside Bas Burger: bar seats for solo diners
Inside Bas Burger, there are standard 2-top tables, 4-top tables made by combining two 2-tops, and a bar-style table for solo diners near Samseong Station — a layout that works no matter how many people show up craving a handmade burger.
Everyone knows Bas Burger's fries are free, right? The charm of Bas Burger is that you can get unlimited refills of fries fried fresh every morning. The Samseong branch's were the tastiest I've had.
What is on the Bas Burger menu?

Before you look at Bas Burger's menu, ask a staff member for a beer tasting — don't just order blindly. I'd recommend trying a sample first.

Bas Burger's menu seems the same across every branch. Lately they've been pushing the new chili mozza cheese bar hard. This time I tried the wasabi mayo shrimp burger set and the mozza chicken burger set.
What we ordered at Bas Burger and what it cost
- Wasabi mayo shrimp burger set ₩15,300
- Mozza chicken burger set ₩13,100
- Chili mozza cheese bar ₩3,300

The burger sets we ordered arrived! I swapped one order of fries for coleslaw. Lately I've been loving coleslaw so much that whenever we order two sets, I always swap one side out.
Two burger sets plus a cheese bar and a glass of beer — that's a pretty generous spread, right? Let's get into the review.
Free unlimited fries and 9 sauces

First, a quick note on what I'd call the 'basic side dish' haha — the free fries you can always get at Bas Burger, the Samseong-dong handmade burger favorite.

You can dip them in ketchup or mayonnaise, and the Samseong Station branch's fries were overwhelmingly better than other locations.
Wasabi mayo shrimp burger set, 15,300 won

My girlfriend's order, the wasabi mayo shrimp burger set. She's tried almost everything on Bas Burger's menu, and she says this is her absolute favorite.

It's a burger loaded with grilled shrimp full of smoky char, the sharp kick of wasabi, and the savory depth of teriyaki sauce — the patty is so soft it practically melts, honey-sweet in the best way.

The coleslaw we swapped in as a side had corn kernels and cabbage mixed in for good texture, a generous portion, and since it's healthier than fries, it eased the guilt a bit haha...

I always thought wasabi mayo went well with chicken, but it turns out it pairs amazingly with shrimp too — this is a go-to dish every time I visit Bas Burger now.

One of the sides was regular fries, of course — cut about as thick as a pinky finger, similar to McDonald's.
One of Bas Burger's charms is the wide variety of sauces you can pair with your meal, so you get a different experience every time you come. Counting ketchup and mayonnaise, there are 9 sauces total, each giving the burger a completely different flavor.
The beer was full of ale aroma — I ordered it because it was so hot out and I wanted something cold and refreshing, and it didn't disappoint.
Mozza chicken burger set, 13,100 won, with a coleslaw swap

Last up, the mozza chicken burger set from Bas Burger, a burger restaurant favorite near Samseong Station. This is what I ordered — I figured I'd just try something I hadn't had before, and wow, it turned out to be so good I fell for it completely.

Tearing into the chicken, crispy outside and juicy inside, reveals a strong, savory, stretchy chunk of cheese packed inside — that's the charm right there.

Bas Burger's soft patty is already a draw on its own, but paired with the cheese, it was seriously delicious.
Chili mozza cheese bar, 3,300 won

The chili mozza cheese bar — I'd had it before and liked it enough to order again. Just think of it as a cheese bar loaded with chili sauce, and you've got the idea.

Tip: it's best eaten right when it arrives, while the cheese is still melted. Cutting it up and piling it on top of your burger is another delicious way to eat it.

That wraps up my quick review of Bas Burger, a handmade burger restaurant favorite in Samseong-dong. If you're looking for a burger restaurant near Samseong Station in Seoul, or just a great handmade burger spot in general, I highly recommend Bas Burger. It's genuinely delicious!!
