Old-style pork cutlet at Magok Station: natural cheese lunch, Tteudon
In short
Tteudon Magok Branch (뜨돈 마곡점) is a pork cutlet restaurant on the 2nd floor of a building near Exit 4 of Magok Station in Gangseo, Seoul, that also serves udon, pasta, chilled buckwheat noodles on a tray and rice bowls. Craving an old-style Western-style pork cutlet, the writer went alone for a weekday lunch and had the sweet potato cheese cutlet; the self-bar of tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), soup and morning buns and the stretchy natural cheese stood out. Where is Tteudon Magok Branch, and can you park?
Tteudon Magok Branch (뜨돈 마곡점) is on the 2nd floor of a building close to Exit 4 of Magok Station, and of course the building has parking. It's an easy spot to reach by public transport or by car.
I had errands near Magok Station, and that day I really wanted a rich, old-style gyeongyangsik (Western-style Korean) pork cutlet. So I headed to Tteudon at Magok Station. It's on the 2nd floor!

When is the lunch discount at Tteudon Magok Branch?
Tteudon Magok Branch was running a weekday lunch event with a discount from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The menu is varied and there's a discount, so it's worth making use of. I visited at lunchtime.

The weekday lunch event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. ^.^ I didn't know this, but it's a pork cutlet place picked by Tzuyang, so I trusted it even more. How good will it be? 😙 Going in with high hopes!

What's on the menu at Tteudon Magok Branch?
Tteudon Magok Branch is a pork cutlet specialist, but it also sells udon, pasta, cold buckwheat noodles and rice bowls. The restaurant was clean and spacious 🤭 With so many options, it would be good for a group ordering a bit of everything. But I came to eat alone today, so I carefully picked just one dish...!

- Hot cheese buldak (spicy chicken) pork cutlet
- Earthenware-pot Tteudon cutlet
- Tteudon pork cutlet
- Tteudon chicken cutlet
- Tteudon curry cutlet
- Whole-grain salad pork cutlet
- Sweet potato cheese cutlet
- Tteudon old-style pork cutlet
- Pork cutlet with spicy stir-fried pork udon
There was even a pork cutlet with spicy stir-fried pork (jeyuk) udon!!! I think guys would really love it. A jeyuk pork cutlet, wow

Besides pasta and udon cutlets, there were rice dishes too: curry rice bowl, jeyuk rice bowl and bulgogi kimchi rice bowl. The jeyuk rice bowl tempted me a lot... but I came craving a rich, old-style cutlet, so I ordered the sweet potato cheese cutlet.

Is Tteudon Magok Branch good for kids?
Tteudon Magok Branch has ice cream for dessert, a small kids' room, baby chairs and baby tableware, so it's good to bring children. Kids will probably love the ice cream, and of course adults can enjoy something cold after a cutlet or jeyuk too 😘

Above all, even a small kids' room like this makes it feel good for bringing children. Of course, there were baby chairs and baby tableware too.
What's at the self-bar at Tteudon Magok Branch?
The salad bar and self-bar at Tteudon Magok Branch has tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), soup, morning buns, strawberry jam and more, which I liked.

The tteokbokki was sharp and spicy. A happy moment for a tteokbokki lover like me.

There were morning buns, strawberry jam and soup. It had been ages since I'd had a gyeongyangsik cutlet and soup set, so I ate a whole bowl of soup and it was really good haha

My spread before the cutlet arrived

😊😊😊

How was the sweet potato cheese cutlet at Tteudon Magok Branch?
The sweet potato cheese cutlet at Tteudon Magok Branch is a cheese cutlet topped with sweet potato mousse, and the cheese was tasty, not artificial, and stretched out long. A sign said Tteudon uses natural cheese... maybe that's why the cheese didn't snap off in chunks but stretched out in long strands.

It seems you can use the morning buns they provide to make it like this, but I was too full to try.. Looking at the photos while writing this review, I'm getting hungry again. ㅠ

I ordered the sweet potato cheese cutlet and it came out like this.

The salad was fresh and the sauce was delicious.

The sweet potato mousse came piled on top of the cheese cutlet like this.

Who is Tteudon Magok Branch for?
I'd recommend Tteudon Magok Branch to people who come to Seoul Botanic Park near Magok Station and are looking for a place to eat with a child. The cheese wasn't artificial and tasted good, and everything was good 😋 It was a satisfying lunch that left me full and well fed.
