I came to Konkuk for the first time in a while to check out Oreuni Market (어르니마켓)! Browsing and shopping, time flew by, and when I got hungry and went looking for dinner, this place just happened to catch my eye. I love pizza, and I wanted a hearty dinner plus a cold beer, so I decided to go in without a second thought. It turns out you can get all kinds of handmade pizza, chicken and beer here, so I think it's a good pick for anyone looking for pizza near Konkuk Univ. Station! And the atmosphere was so pretty that I was excited before even going in, haha

Exterior, terrace and outdoor tables

The exterior has a bright red awning that grabs your eye from far away. It's clean yet reminds you of a little pizza restaurant in Europe, so it was lovely right from the outside ✨

There's a big standing sign at the entrance, so you can check the menu and prices before going in. When you visit a place for the first time you always wonder what's on the menu and how pricey it is, so being able to see it at the door was convenient! There are also outdoor tables on the left side of the shop. It looked like a nice spot for a casual pizza-and-beer night while soaking up Konkuk's lively vibe.

Near the entrance there's also terrace seating where you can eat while looking out at the street. It felt open rather than stuffy, and it was my personal favorite seat! You know how just sitting outside on a nice day puts you in a good mood, right..? 🥹 It looked great for chatting with friends or going on a date. It's not just a place to eat pizza and leave; you get to enjoy the atmosphere too, which made it even more charming.

Interior full of vintage decor

The interior is a cozy space with warm lighting and antique, vintage props. Stepping inside, I found a space just as atmospheric as the outside. The overall feel is cozy, and the soft warm lighting makes it comfortable and sentimental! The antique, vintage items scattered around were especially pretty. Not overly flashy, but each corner has its own personality, so it was fun just to look around, haha. I personally love this kind of vintage mood, so it was totally my taste 🤎 If you're searching for pizza near Konkuk Univ. The side terrace, perfect for fall

Besides the seats at the entrance, Pizza E Michida Konkuk University Branch has a lovely separate terrace on the side of the shop. Another space I liked! It has a different charm from the entrance seats, a bit more relaxed and open. It seemed perfect for cool fall weather like right now 🍂 Enjoying fresh pizza and beer in the breeze would be a perfect way to end the day! Indoor and terrace seats each have their own appeal, so choosing where to sit would be a happy dilemma.

I also liked that every table comes with Parmesan cheese and Tabasco. When eating pizza you often want more cheese or something spicy depending on your taste, and being able to help yourself without asking staff each time was convenient! Ordering is done by QR code, so you can browse the menu at your seat and order at your own pace.

With so many combinations, anyone searching for pizza near Konkuk Univ. Station will have plenty of choice.

It's a pizza specialist, but the non-pizza menu was also very extensive. Several kinds of pasta, squid karaage (Japanese-style fried squid), egg gambas, chicken and more, all great with pizza! There are also lighter drinking snacks like stir-fried bean sprouts, oden soup (fish cake soup) and dried pollock with nuts, so it seemed good as a first round and just as good as a second round.

Table setup, pizza warmer and slushy draft beer

After ordering, Pizza E Michida Konkuk University Branch brings small plates, plastic gloves, nachos, garlic dipping sauce, spicy sauce and pickles as standard, plus a warmer stand to keep the pizza hot. Since pizza is eaten by hand, small touches like this are surprisingly handy, and I was impressed by the thoughtfulness again 🙌 It was a nice setup to go with pizza. The pizza warmer stand stood out most! Pizza is great fresh out of the oven but cools quickly, which can be a shame; here the warmer lets you enjoy it warm down to the last slice, which I loved.

And the first thing to arrive was the cold beer 🍻 For the opening event, Terra draft is ₩1,900 for 250cc and ₩3,800 for 500cc, such a kind price! Best of all, the beer came as slushy beer in a frozen glass full of icy crystals, so it passed on looks alone 🙌

How was the Peach Set's crispy boneless chicken?

The crispy boneless chicken included in the half-half Peach Set came out before the pizza, with a crunchy coating and thick-cut fries on the side. We chose the half-half Peach Set, which gives you one pizza plus crispy boneless chicken. We love pizza but can't give up chicken either, so it was a perfect combo for us. When you can't settle on just one thing, getting pizza and chicken together is a very welcome set, haha

Golden-fried crispy boneless chicken! The coating was fried very crisp, and since it's boneless it's easy to eat〰 Dipping it in the sweet and spicy yangnyeom (Korean-style seasoned) sauce on the side made it even better. It also comes with fries, and they're thick-cut rather than thin and crispy, so crunchy outside and fluffy inside, just right! It's a pizza place, yet the chicken was already so good that I was excited to see how the main pizza would be🤭

Half-half pizza review: Philly cheese BBQ steak and Toowoomba potato shrimp

Wow, what an appetizing look 🙌

Our half-half picks were Philly cheese BBQ steak and Toowoomba potato shrimp! One side was a rich pizza loaded with meat, the other a creamy style with shrimp and potato. Two very different personalities, so it was fun to alternate between them. The toppings were also much more generous than I expected, so I was happy just looking at it! If you value trying different flavors among the pizzas near Konkuk Univ. Station, I'd recommend the half-half here.

Toowoomba potato shrimp: creamy with a little spice

Toowoomba potato shrimp is a rosé-sauce-based pizza topped with potato wedges, bacon, big shrimp, jalapeño, peperoncino and sour cream. My first pick 🍤 I usually like pizza with shrimp, and with potato and rosé sauce added, the name alone was my taste! The soft, creamy sauce hits you from the first bite! The bouncy shrimp, fluffy potato and salty bacon came together so well. The rich sauce could get heavy, but the jalapeño and peperoncino add spicy accents here and there, so I never got tired of it.

Philly cheese BBQ steak: hearty with a faint smoky grill flavor

Philly cheese BBQ steak is a cream-sauce-based pizza topped with Philly cheesesteak, and it's listed as No. 2 in the menu ranking, so I had high hopes before ordering. If you like meat and cheese, you'll definitely be interested! In the first bite I tasted rich, nutty cheese, followed by chewy meat, making it very filling. The faint smoky grill flavor in the meat was the highlight! The creamy sauce and salty meat made the flavor even deeper.

If Toowoomba potato shrimp was soft and slightly spicy, Philly cheese BBQ steak is the hearty, savory style. Alternating between the two different pizzas kept me from getting bored, and comparing their personalities was fun. I was glad I ordered half-half 🤭

Eating delicious pizza and chicken, my beer glass was suddenly empty. One glass wasn't enough, so I ordered one more 250cc Terra draft>< At ₩1,900 for 250cc it was an easy price for a casual extra glass, a great event! It again came icy and cold, satisfying to the very end 🍕🍺
