Minja Hoetjip (민자횟집) is a sashimi restaurant near the entrance of Jumunjin Fish Market in Gangneung, Gangwon, serving seasonal sashimi, snow crab, pufferfish and set meals. The writer took out the small seasonal mixed sashimi for 40,000 won around 4:30 pm on a Saturday and ate it on a picnic mat at Yeongjin Beach; the thick slices of salmon, rockfish, flounder and amberjack tasted fresh with no fishy smell. With generous free extras and a parking tower close by, Minja Hoetjip is a satisfying choice for a beachside sashimi picnic.
