Yeongdeungpo bar with a payphone-booth door and soju: Ho Samchon
Ho Samchon Yeongdeungpo Main Branch is a Korean gastropub on the 2nd floor of the food alley across from Yeongdeungpo Market in Seoul, and its front door is an actual payphone booth. On a Friday night second round, the writer ordered tomato haejang pastang (a tomato pasta-soup hangover dish) for 21,900 won and mango cream shrimp for 16,900 won with soju, then finished with beaded ice cream. With a wide room and a long list of anju (drinking snacks), Ho Samchon works well for big group dinners and after-parties near Yeongdeungpo Station.
