Yongsan tteokbokki with jjolmyeon and photo-review slushie
Hyeonseonine Yongsan Main Branch is an instant tteokbokki (stir-fried rice cake) restaurant in Yongsan, Seoul, 180m from Sinyongsan Station Exit 6, and a spot the writer has frequented for over 5 years since its food-cart days. This visit ordered a medium-spice instant tteokbokki for two plus fried rice, with yakimandu (fried dumplings) for dipping, self-serve batter flakes, and fish cake broth on the side. The medium spice is only slightly hotter than Shin Ramyun, comes loaded with jjolmyeon (chewy noodles), and leaving a Naver photo review earns a free slushie or tteokbokki size-up.
