Seomyeon Station Korean spot for herring roe bibim noodles: Hyangtaek
Hyangtaek Jeonpo Branch is a Korean restaurant serving rice bowls and bibim noodles on Seojeon-ro in Jeonpo-dong, Busan, a short walk from Exit 8 of Seomyeon Station. Sharing the eggplant doenjang rice bowl, herring roe bibim noodles and grilled deodeok (bellflower root) with mushrooms over a couple's meal, the herring roe noodles were too sweet to suit our taste, while the eggplant rice bowl and the deodeok mushrooms both landed well. Everything at Hyangtaek leans a little sweet, but the eggplant doenjang bowl with grilled deodeok mushrooms is a combination worth coming back for.
