Weekday lunch spice level 1 set with octopus at a Paju Chinese

Dolpanseok Jjamppong Paju Simhaksan Branch is a stone-plate jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup) Chinese restaurant near the entrance to Simhaksan mountain in Paju, Gyeonggi. For a weekday lunch, the writer ordered the jjamppong-for-two plus donchitang set for 42,000 won, added octopus for 5,000 won, chose spice level 1, and got three flavors from one dish: noodle soup, stir-fried noodles, and nurungji (scorched rice) tang. With unlimited rice refills, a self-serve green onion kimchi bar and a free yogurt for dessert, it was a great-value weekday lunch.
