Bangbaeng Sageori ginseng chicken soup with yam broth: Masamgyetang
In short
Masamgyetang Bangbaeng Sageori Branch is a ginseng chicken soup restaurant on the first floor of Seohui Starhills Officetel near Bangbaeng Sageori in Gangnam, Seoul. I tried the soup made with blended yam and found it creamy, mild, and rich, with tender chicken; parking was also convenient during my visit. It was a bright, tidy place, although this review does not assess anything beyond that visit.

I had ginseng chicken soup at Masamgyetang Bangbaeng Sageori Branch (마삼계탕 뱅뱅사거리점) near Bangbaeng Sageori in Gangnam. The thick broth made with blended yam and the tender chicken stood out to me, and parking was convenient.
Where is the restaurant, and is parking available?
The restaurant is at 19 Dogok-ro 3-gil, on the first floor of Seohui Starhills Officetel in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Since it is on the first floor, I did not find it difficult to locate. During my visit, I could use the building’s underground parking, with 90 minutes of free parking.
The free parking time meant I could eat at a relatively relaxed pace without rushing. It was convenient when eating around Bangbaeng Sageori with a car.
What are the atmosphere and table spacing like?
The interior was clean and tidy overall.
It felt fairly bright and comfortable, so I thought it would suit either eating alone or visiting with family.
The tables were not cramped together, and I got the impression that the dining area was well maintained. It had an easygoing atmosphere for nearby office workers’ lunches or dinner with family and acquaintances.
What are the yam ginseng chicken soup’s broth and chicken like?
The ginseng chicken soup I tried had blended yam in it, which made the broth thick and creamy. The texture of the broth was especially memorable.
After a spoonful, I tasted a deep yet mild flavor, as if the chicken had been simmered for a long time. To my taste, it was neither overly strong nor too salty.
Oily broth can become tiring to eat quickly, but this one had a relatively clean yet deep flavor, so it was comfortable to finish.
The chicken was tender rather than dry, so it was easy to pull the meat from the bones. Eating it with the hot broth felt satisfying, and my stomach felt comfortable afterward.
Would it be suitable for a meal with parents?
If you are looking for a clean Korean restaurant to visit with your parents around Bangbaeng Sageori, I felt this place was worth considering. The dining area was bright and tidy, and the tables were not too close together.
When I wanted a meal with mild broth and tender chicken, it worked well for lunch alone or a family meal. If you visit by car, the underground parking and free parking period would likely feel convenient.
