There are lots of great eateries around Mangwon Market now, but surprisingly few burger places, so I went to Lazy Off, a handmade burger spot that's been getting buzz in Mangwon. Honestly, I've tried the big names (you know the ones, Shake Shack and Fxxxxxx's), and personally Lazy Off suited Korean tastes much better and I kept thinking about it afterwards..! 🍔

How do you get to Lazy Off from Mangwon Station?
Just walk straight for 3 minutes down the alley next to Olive Young from Mangwon Station Exit 2 and you'll find Lazy Off. It's close to Mangwon Market too, so it's a perfect spot to eat and then do some grocery shopping.
Lazy Off's atmosphere and seating
The shop is clean, and the green accents blend nicely with the wood-tone furniture, so it felt warm and cozy 🌿

There's more seating than I expected, from tables for two to tables for four, so it looked good for a date or a get-together with friends.

Is Lazy Off okay for eating alone in Mangwon?
There are plenty of solo seats too, so it's perfect for dropping in by yourself and enjoying a meal without any pressure.

An open kitchen you can see into
Best of all was Lazy Off's open kitchen. You can see right into it, so you can watch the patties being grilled and the burgers being made. The clean kitchen and the confidence in their food made me trust the place even more ✨
Lazy Off menu and prices

The basic cheeseburger at Lazy Off is ₩7,600. There's a good range of burgers and sides, so you can pick whatever you like. The price of the basic cheeseburger really surprised me. Considering that even franchise burgers cost more these days, this is incredible value for a handmade burger..! 🍔
Lazy Off's Hawaiian burger: the grilled pineapple is the kicker

I ordered the Hawaiian burger and the shrimp burger, and the moment they arrived they looked totally the part 🥹 From the brioche bun to the patty and the veggies, you can tell they don't skimp on ingredients.

Lazy Off's Hawaiian burger comes with a patty, bacon, grilled pineapple, romaine and cheese.

One bite and the juices burst out. The patty is thick, so the rich beef flavor comes through with every chew.

And the grilled pineapple is totally the kicker ⭐️ It's grilled over an open flame, so it has a faint smoky taste, and paired with the juicy beef patty it cuts the richness and adds freshness, making the whole flavor much deeper 🍍 I highly recommend the Hawaiian burger ദ്ദി˶ˊᵕˋ˵)

A buttery brioche bun
I'm not really a bread person, but the bun itself at Lazy Off was so good? Maybe because of the high butter content, a nutty buttery aroma comes up the more you chew, and it takes the burger up another level 🧈

How much shrimp is in Lazy Off's shrimp burger?
Lazy Off's shrimp burger is a fairly simple build: a shrimp patty and coleslaw in a brioche bun. But the taste is not simple at all.

Franchise shrimp burgers often just hint at shrimp flavor, but the patty in Lazy Off's shrimp burger is packed with shrimp.

Take a bite and the shrimp is springy with a great texture, and it's seriously thick. With the crunchy coleslaw on top, it isn't greasy even though the patty is fried. It's clean and fresh 😋

For the side: sweet potato fries
For the side, I went with sweet potato fries instead of regular fries. They're crispy outside and moist and soft inside, and I loved the contrast in texture.

The natural sweetness of the sweet potato really comes through, and eating them with the salty burger gave a sweet-and-salty combo that was insane 🍠
Lazy Off, a Mangwon Market burger shop: final verdict
Lazy Off, near Mangwon Market, is a place where you can feel the care in every burger, from the good ingredients and thick patties to the buttery brioche bun. The Hawaiian burger with pineapple and the shrimp burger with a patty full of shrimp especially made me understand why it's become a word-of-mouth burger spot in Mangwon-dong. If you're looking for a good place near Mangwon Market or want a great-value handmade burger, I highly recommend Lazy Off 🫶
