Kiosk-order squid fritters dipped in tteokbokki broth: Hyeonseoni-ne

Hyeonseoni-ne Cheonggye Instant Branch is a snack bar (bunsik) near Euljiro-ip-gu Station in Jung-gu, Seoul, housed in a bright blue old-school building by Cheonggyecheon stream. Ordering through the entrance kiosk, the writer got the Hyeonseoni Combo Set (₩25,000) — broth tteokbokki, hand-made sundae with liver and lung, mini gimbap, assorted fried snacks and fish cake soup — all on one tray, dipping everything from squid fritters to lung into the tteokbokki broth. A great spot for a loud, happy snack feast with friends.
