Oneul Pasta Magok Branch is a pasta and risotto restaurant on the second floor of a building on Magokjungang-ro near Magok Station in Gangseo, Seoul. After booking through Naver, the writer ordered myeongnan carbonara (cod roe carbonara) with a free size-up for 13,900 won, rosé risotto with 5 extra shrimp for 16,900 won and an 8-inch mini honey pizza for 6,000 won, and used the salad bar twice. The dairy cream sauce and the whole shrimp seared separately and placed on top made Oneul Pasta Magok Branch worth a return visit.

Yeouido izakaya cold capellini octopus pasta and lamb rack: Nani

Nani Yeouido Branch is an izakaya on the 3rd floor of the S-TRENUE Building, right in front of Yeouido Station in Seoul, with floor-to-ceiling window views. The order was a three-piece lamb shoulder rack, perilla oil octopus pasta and a bottle of Cass beer, and the free starters — fried hardtack dusted in cinnamon sugar plus seaweed salad — made a strong first impression. Lamb that stays hot on its iron plate alongside springy cold capellini turned out to be a summer drinking combination worth ordering again.
