On the last day of my Yeongjong trip I was craving vegetable wraps, so I went to Pyeonpyeonjip. I'd never heard of it before but it turns out they have a ton of branches. I went to the Pyeonpyeonjip Yeongjong Sky City branch ><

Where is Pyeonpyeonjip Yeongjong Sky City branch, and is there parking?

Pyeonpyeonjip Yeongjong Sky City branch is an all-you-can-eat shabu-shabu restaurant located at 17 Haneulbyeolbit-ro65beon-gil, Yeongjong-gu, Incheon, South Korea, units 301 and 302. Hours are weekdays 11:30–23:00, weekends 11:30–24:00, and parking is available.

Restaurants in Yeongjong Sky City are really nice because parking is so easy haha. Parking at Pyeonpyeonjip Yeongjong Sky City branch is in the underground lot, and you just register with a staff member on your way out.

Maybe because it's a well-known shabu-shabu spot in Yeongjong, it was already packed even though I went fairly early. Since it was a holiday I'd booked a noon reservation, but there were already tons of customers haha.

The kids play zone: eating out with a baby or toddler

Pyeonpyeonjip Yeongjong Sky City branch has a play room kids zone where children can run around. I loved restaurants with kids zones when I was little too lol, so it was nice to see one again after a long time.

Loads of people had brought their kids to Pyeonpyeonjip's Yeongjong branch. Probably because of the kids zone haha. It seems like a great place to eat shabu-shabu in Yeongjong with a baby in tow. It's noisy, but not overwhelmingly so.

How much does it cost, and what's on the self-bar?

The adult price at Pyeonpyeonjip Yeongjong Sky City branch is ₩21,500 (evening/weekend/public holiday). I visited on a substitute public holiday, so I paid the holiday rate.

For an all-you-can-eat shabu-shabu place in Yeongjong, it seems like really good value. We were seated right next to the self-bar, which made it super convenient to help ourselves lol. They even had corn kernels, which I love! And the sweet pumpkin salad was tasty too~~

You can freely help yourself to the vegetable wrap ingredients, and all-you-can-eat meat is genuinely great ><. The woo-samgyeop (thin-sliced beef brisket) had no gamey smell at all and was delicious. The shabu-shabu ingredients looked fresh too, and there was tteokbokki (spicy stir-fried rice cakes), bulgogi, and bread on the self-bar as well haha.

Which sauce to pick: the meat soy sauce

There was a separate meat soy sauce, so I grabbed some to try — totally my style~~ Dipping the meat in it was seriously delicious. Each table also has chili sauce and peanut sauce.

Pyeonbaek jjim packed with meat, plus one free refill

Pyeonpyeonjip's pyeonbaek jjim is brought out as soon as you sit down, and once you finish it you can get one refill. It's more meat than vegetables.

While waiting for the pyeonbaek jjim, I grabbed some food from the self-bar haha. Couldn't hold off — I was already chowing down before the meat even finished cooking. The wait for pyeonbaek jjim can be a bit boring, but it's nice being able to snack on things in the meantime.

When the pyeonbaek jjim is done and the timer goes off, a staff member comes over and opens the lid haha. Once you finish it, you can move on to the shabu-shabu.

It's tasty just dipped in soy sauce, but even better wrapped up as a vegetable wrap.

What the mala broth shabu-shabu was like

At Pyeonpyeonjip Yeongjong Sky City branch you can choose your shabu-shabu broth, and I picked seafood and mala. The mala broth tastes like hot pot and is quite spicy and intense.

Honestly, after finishing a whole pan of pyeonbaek jjim we were already pretty full ㅠ.ㅠ So we moved straight on to the shabu-shabu haha. The mala broth already smelled high-quality even before it started boiling...

True to its reputation as a shabu-shabu spot in Yeongjong, the shabu-shabu itself was really delicious. The mala broth was spicy and intense, even more my style~~

If you're looking for shabu-shabu in Yeongjong where you can eat meat to your heart's content, you'll totally love Pyeonpyeonjip. The seafood broth was delicious too! I should've made porridge with the leftover broth, but my stomach just couldn't take any more.. ㅠ.ㅠ It looked so good too. Pace yourselves so you can make porridge or fried rice with the broth ><

Out of curiosity I also scooped up some tteokbokki, and it was even better a little dried out lol. If you're going for shabu-shabu in Yeongjong, give Pyeonpyeonjip a try. Being able to eat pyeonbaek jjim, shabu-shabu, and vegetable wraps all in one visit is really its biggest strength haha.
