Itaewon bone stew with open-window patio seating: Nuri Maeul Gamjatang

Nuri Maeul Gamjatang Itaewon Branch is a 24-hour pork bone stew and braised-bone restaurant a 1-minute walk from Itaewon Station Exit 4 in Yongsan, Seoul. The soy-braised bone stew (ganjang bbyeojjim) in spicy, medium size costs 44,000 won and arrived with 7 thick, meaty bones plus so much rice cake and glass noodles that there was no room left for fried rice. Even the spicy version is mild for a chili lover and the sauce leans sweet, so order it spicy if you want the flavor to hold up to the last bite.
