Hyeonseonine Yongsan Main Branch is an instant tteokbokki (stir-fried rice cake) and bunsik restaurant between Yongsan Station and Yongridan-gil in Seoul, carrying on from the days it was a tent on an empty lot in front of the station. On a weekend evening the writer ordered instant tteokbokki for two at 22,000 won with self-serve fried rice, and the medium spice level was quite hot, so anyone sensitive to chili should pick mild. Between the sweet old-school sauce, the self-serve batter flakes and the fried rice finish, Hyeonseonine serves nostalgia along with dinner.
