Eel restaurant in Nowon, Seoul with a deodeok pickle swap: Cheonsanga

Cheonsanga Jangeoga Hagae Branch is a charcoal-grilled freshwater eel restaurant in Hagae-dong, Nowon, Seoul. The 3-person set costs 104,000 won, and when the family asked to leave out the eoreokguljeot (salted oyster in chili sauce) the kitchen swapped in deodeok jangajji (pickled deodeok root) fragrant with sesame oil. Staff grilled the eel at the table and trimmed off the bones and fins, so the child ate every piece on top of dolchobap (hot stone bowl sushi rice) — a filling family dinner at Cheonsanga Jangeoga.
