Gyeongju walnut pastry café with 50-a-day almond praline: Buja Hodu
Buja Hodu is a rice-flour walnut pastry (hodu-gwaja) shop on Hwangnidan-gil in Gyeongju. The writer packed a 24-piece original gift box and a 10-piece mix to try red bean, matcha and pea cream cheese, but missed the almond praline, limited to 50 a day. Each pastry holds a whole walnut inside, making it a solid pick for a parents' gift or a thank-you box.
