Pieum Hair Hapjeong Main Branch is guarded by a mascot pup, Koki, who has a booming voice. I didn't know there was a dog at first and was so startled, haha. He barks hello when a customer comes in and then loses all interest. A total sweetheart. He's manager Jihyeok's dog, so if you get your treatment from him, you get his daddy-loving pup too.

He explains step by step in a calm, quiet voice while working, and it builds so much trust, haha. With the example photos it's easy to understand, and my trust in the treatment was maxed out.
The result? Need I say more, it comes out exactly as he explained. The cut alone already had me completely satisfied. My hair was so much tidier than before that I was happy even before the setting perm started.
Even the heat treatment for the setting perm is very thorough, starting with a temperature check. When applying the solution, not a single stray hair gets missed. Pieum Hair in Hapjeong is my salon from now on, seriously.
How long the perm takes and what the salon is like
The volume magic + setting perm at Pieum Hair Hapjeong Main Branch took about 3-4 hours, I think. They gave me coffee, and I got some work done, so the time flew by. The salon isn't big, but it seems to have lots of regulars and is cozy enough to spend time in.

When he's bored he sometimes comes over to people, but he's really gentle, a good boy who wanders around by himself, naps and watches the goings-on.

I've never seen a salon show the mirror this often. Does Pieum Hair push add-on treatments for damaged hair?
Pieum Hair Hapjeong Main Branch has no pushy add-on treatment sales at all, and they used different solutions depending on how damaged my hair was, handling it on their own. The straightening was done strand by strand, really carefully.
Most salons push add-on treatments hard, saying your hair is too damaged for a perm, but Pieum Hair near Hapjeong Station doesn't do that. A truly trustworthy salon.
Setting perm results: did the curls last a week?

Also, manager Jihyeok doesn't blow-dry the hair once it's done. He says it should be judged at the same quality as styling it yourself at home, so he finishes by keeping the setting perm as it is. The perm alone is so pretty that a blow-dry isn't even needed. A hairdresser this proud of his work, I'd trust with any perm.
The result was exactly like the photo he first showed me, so I was really happy. It's been about a week since the setting perm and it's still just like the after photo! Sometimes the curls even come out prettier when I style them myself. Truly very satisfied with Pieum Hair, a hair salon near Hapjeong Station.
