Gangdoenjang bibim set for three after Gyeryongsan hike: Bapkkot Hana
Bapkkot Hana Pieotne is a Korean set-meal restaurant at the entrance to Sinwonsa Temple in Gongju, Chungnam, that sets the table with vegetables grown on its own Bapkkot Farm. Three of us ordered the minari tteokgalbi (water celery grilled patty) set for three and worked through the vegetable pancakes, fried vegetables and tofu kimchi of the basic spread before mixing rice with mushroom gangdoenjang (thick soybean paste stew), with finely chopped minari through the patties bringing both nuttiness and freshness. Bapkkot Hana Pieotne is worth adding to a day that runs from Gyeryong Reservoir through Gapsa and Sinwonsa temples.
