This summer, I was looking for a bag that could hold plenty of belongings while still going well with my everyday outfits, so I tried the Meda Bag Large-Capacity Weaving Rattan Bag. I loved both its design and storage, and found myself carrying it often.

What are the rattan-like texture and shape like?
Rather than stiff, it had a soft rattan-like feel in the hand. Its shape was more rounded than boxy, and even when I packed in a lot, it did not lose its shape. It went well with dresses and linen outfits, but also with jeans and a T-shirt.

Was it comfortable as a crossbody bag when traveling with a child?
On trips, I am looking after my child, carrying things, and taking photos, so wearing it crossbody was convenient because it left both hands free. It did not feel like it weighed heavily on my shoulder, and it felt light even when I wore it for a long walk.

The fact that I could wear it crossbody was handy even when I was constantly on the move, such as at a travel destination or the beach.

How much travel gear did it hold?
There was still room left after I packed a wallet, phone, cosmetics pouch, power bank, sunglasses, and wet wipes. It had more storage than I expected from looking at the outside.

Even though I usually bring a lot of things, I never felt short on storage. I could fit all the essentials for a trip in it at once, so I did not need to carry an extra bag.

Are the opening and front pocket easy to use?
I pay close attention to how a bag closes when choosing one, and this bag was convenient because it closes with a zipper. With open-top bags, I worried that the contents might show or fall out, but once I zipped it up, I worried less about my things spilling out in crowded travel spots or while moving around.
There was also a separate front pocket that opens and closes with a magnetic hook. Keeping frequently used items such as my phone or transit card there was convenient because I did not have to open the zipper every time.

What did I like most about using it?
With its soft feel, generous storage, zip-top opening, and front pocket, there was almost nothing inconvenient about using it. Above all, the best part was being able to use both hands freely on trips or outings.
