Summer rattan shoulder bag for dresses: Meda Bag

I chose the Meda Bag rattan shoulder bag as a bag that would be great for summer or a resort trip. I liked beige more than brown. Once I tried it, I found that it held plenty inside and was easy to sling over my shoulder, so I carried it around even during the winter when I was writing this post.

Along with the bag, I also received earrings, which were a review-event gift.

What are the price, colors, and size?

The price was ₩19,900 when the original post was written. It came in two colors, brown and beige, and the size was listed as FREE, 40 × 60 × 3 cm. Since it was under ₩20,000, I felt it was easy to carry day to day without feeling like a burden.

How did the texture and storage feel in person?

It had a natural-looking design and felt lightweight. At first, I thought the material would be stiff and limit what I could fit inside, but the texture did not feel as stiff as I expected once I used it.

The inside was roomier than I expected. I tend to carry this and that with me, so I especially liked having plenty of storage space.

The weave was dense, and it had both a lining and an inner pocket. There was a zipper at the opening, so I could put my belongings in and zip it shut; that setup felt practical.

I reached for it often because I could simply put it over my shoulder. I chose beige, and the generous storage was convenient enough that I carried it in winter too.

What outfits does it suit, and what is the drawback?

The understated design made it an easy match for simple outfits. Still, I found its strong seasonal feel a little disappointing. I do use it in winter, but I think it suits summer or a hot resort destination much better. It is worth considering that you may end up using it mainly for one season.

It is seasonal, but when I considered the ₩19,900 price along with the storage space, I was satisfied. At the time of writing, I was planning a trip to Vietnam or another warm resort destination that year, and I had already picked this out as the bag to take.

I had also picked out a summer dress to wear on the trip. I thought this design would go better with a light vacation dress or linen clothing than with winter clothes. I also imagined using it as an accent with a simple combination such as a white T-shirt and denim.

What washing instructions were listed in the original post?

The original post recommended washing it separately by hand in cold or lukewarm water. If using a washing machine, a laundry bag was listed as essential, and machine drying was not allowed. I did not separately record how it changed or held up after washing.
