Daejeon rental studio for OTT and digital camera photos: Sodium
In short
Sodium is a rental studio in Jung, Daejeon, with OTT viewing, photo areas, karaoke, instruments, and pocket billiards. I watched videos on its clear projector screen and took digital-camera photos, though the rental can feel expensive for the space alone and I ran out of time for karaoke.

What kind of space is Sodium in Daejeon?
While looking for somewhere to rest and eat bread I had picked up in Daejeon, I came across Sodium (소듐), a rental studio. It is on B1 at 30 Jungang-ro 109beon-gil in Jung-gu, Daejeon, and offers not only photo-taking but also OTT viewing, karaoke, and instrument playing.

It was listed as available through Naver Booking, with parking available. I liked being able to watch videos, relax, and take photos in one space.
How much is the hourly rental fee?

The listed base rate when I visited was ₩40,000 for one weekday hour and ₩50,000 for one weekend hour. However, weekday rates also varied by daytime and evening slots, so it is worth checking the rate for the time you plan to use.

There were also discounted rates for consecutive rentals of three or five hours. If you are planning to stay with friends for a while, it seemed worth comparing them.

OTT, karaoke, a guitar, and a keyboard were all set up in the same space.

If you only have photo-taking or space rental in mind, the price may feel a little high. I found it reasonable because several facilities could be used together. It also seemed suited to a gathering where several people split the cost.
Can you play instruments and sing?

An acoustic guitar, keyboard, and standing microphone were provided. Since you can sing while playing guitar or play the keyboard, I thought there would be plenty to do with friends who enjoy music.

I also thought it would be nice for a couple. Watching a movie and playing instruments together would make for a different kind of date from spending time at a café.
Was the OTT screen easy to watch?
When I played OTT content, the image was clearer than I expected. It was displayed with a projector.

I do not know what model it was, but the image looked crisp to me, making it good for watching films or dramas.

Were there enough places to take photos?

What I personally liked was the number of places to take photos. The space was decorated throughout in a way that worked well for photos, so I walked around and took several.

This time, I brought a digital camera. Photos taken with a Lumix FP1 had a different feel. I also thought it would be nice to spend time taking photos of each other with a friend or partner.

How was it for relaxing or eating takeout?

Clothes hangers, chargers, and blankets were provided. My legs felt a little cold while I was there, but the blanket kept me warm. There was also a refrigerator, where I could keep cake or bread I had brought along.
The beanbag was more comfortable than I expected, and I kept lying on it. I enjoyed relaxing while watching videos.

Pocket billiards was available too. If several friends came together, it seemed like a good place to divide the time between resting and playing games.

Karaoke was also available, but my rental time ended while I was watching Demon Slayer. The running time was longer than I expected, so I was disappointed not to have time for karaoke too.

I also ate the dessert I had brought along inside the space. What I remember most from this visit is relaxing comfortably while watching OTT content and taking photos. There are several activities to choose from, so if I used it again, I would consider both the length of the video I wanted to watch and time to enjoy the other facilities.
