While getting ready for a resort trip, I packed the Meda Bag Shoulder Summer Rattan Bag. I chose brown, and before taking it on my trip, I looked over the weave, strap, and storage space.

Which color did I choose, and what came with it?

When choosing a travel bag, I considered both design and practicality. When I opened the delivery box, there was also a pair of earrings included as a free extra that looked like it would go nicely with the bag.

It came in two colors, brown and beige. I chose brown because it seemed calm and easy to match with lots of outfits. In person, the color felt deeper than I expected.

Did the net weave and shoulder strap feel sturdy?

At first, since it is a net bag, I worried that things might fall out or that it could tear easily. Looking at it in person, though, the weave felt dense and sturdy overall.

The strap in particular was quite thick, so it felt secure on my shoulder. Even when I put in heavier belongings, I worried less about it losing its shape or tearing, so I thought it would be fine for everyday use too.

Can you close the opening or separate small items?
There was a zipper at the opening. With an open-top bag, I tend to worry about losing belongings while traveling, but being able to zip this one closed gave me peace of mind.

There was a small pocket inside as well. It was handy for keeping things that tend to roll around inside a bag—like lipstick, cards, or car keys—separate. The zipper closure and inner pocket were the parts that felt especially practical.

What outfits did the brown rattan bag go with?
I love taking photos when I travel, so I also checked how it worked with outfits. The brown color went well with summer dresses and paired easily with both a white dress and patterned clothes.

I liked the breezy-looking design, along with the dense weave, thick strap, zipper, and small pocket. I am planning to take it with me to the resort.
