I came here too, because my husband and I had a hospital visit at Severance. Mealtime rolled around and we looked for something simple to eat, which is how we ended up here. Caregivers need to eat to keep their strength up for looking after the patient, but at the hospital you're hungry and still have no appetite, right... Inside, the food allergen notice and the item names and country of origin for each menu are posted in big letters, which made me trust this burger place even more. Since it's inside a hospital, the allergen information seemed all the more important.

The burgers include the Bas Burger, named after the restaurant, plus Golden Onion Morning, Cheeseburger, Hawaiian Burger and Chicken Burger, and there are sides like chicken too.

You order at the kiosk near the entrance. Severance staff get 10% off, so they order separately at the counter.

What are the atmosphere and seating like at Bas Burger?

I have regular checkups, so I visit Severance once a year. Coming back after a while, I found that a café used to be in this spot and it had turned into Bas Burger. Since it's a newly opened shop, the inside was really clean and nice.

The seats are spaced out widely and the soft lighting made the mood look good too. A great burger spot in Sinchon!

The interior is tied together with wood-tone tables and black chairs, which felt calm and comfortable. It sits next to the B1 entrance into Yonsei Severance Cancer Hospital, so it's easy for people coming and going to spot! We ate in, but lots of delivery orders were coming in, and some customers were taking food to go.

After you order, you can help yourself to the potato chips set out at the self-bar corner, and since they're free, this Sinchon burger spot felt even more generous!!

They were salty and crunchy, so they made a great appetizer.

How do the Bas Burger set and Hawaiian Burger set taste?

The two of us ordered the Bas Burger set and the Hawaiian Burger set.

Hawaiian Burger: bacon and two pineapple slices

My husband chose the Hawaiian Burger: a beef patty, real cheddar, house sauce, butterhead lettuce, low-sodium bacon and two pineapple slices, making it a hearty handmade burger with some sweetness too!

With the juicy patty and the fresh veggies and pineapple you can see with your own eyes, my mouth was watering before we even took a bite!

Bas Burger: a mild, not-too-salty classic burger

The Bas Burger I chose is the basic burger, with a beef patty, real cheddar cheese, house sauce, butterhead lettuce, onion and tomato!

With fresh veggies, a tomato in the middle and a juicy patty, it was a basic burger with rich flavor! Handmade burgers usually taste strongly salty and a bit harsh, but the Bas Burger is mellow and doesn't taste salty at all!!

My husband said as he ate that it was the least salty and tastiest burger he'd had lately 😊 He even said the bun was so good he wished they sold the bread separately, and we were satisfied with every single ingredient at this Sinchon burger spot 🍔
