Why I went to Opus240 Hanam for a solo steak

Opus240 Hanam is a restaurant in Gamil-dong, Hanam, with a reputation for good-value steak. I had to get my car repaired near Gamil-dong, and I'd heard the steak here was a bargain, so I went for a solo steak meal. I was really happy with it ^^

Where is Opus240 Hanam, and is there parking?

Opus240 Hanam is on the 2nd floor of the A Cloud Gamil building, and parking is free. If you search for Opus240 in Hanam Misa (Misa), only Dongtan and Paju come up, but there's one in Gamil too!! The car park is big and easy to use~

The opening special: 180g + 60g = a 240g steak for ₩29,000! And the salad bar is unlimited. Oh, I couldn't not go after seeing that.

Opus240 Hanam atmosphere: a big, spacious restaurant

The moment I walked into Opus240 Hanam it was huge and clean, and I thought it'd be perfect to bring kids.

The tables are spaced far apart, so you feel less self-conscious bringing little ones ^^ I came alone, but most people there weren't solo diners. They were mostly families with kids, and there were couples on dates too.

What's in the Opus240 salad bar?

The salad bar is unlimited when you order a main dish. It's not a grand spread. It's about the level of the little side salad bar you used to see at Mr. Pizza back in the day! There were salads, cherry tomatoes, potato salad and sweet pumpkin salad, plus cereal and yogurt.

There was also sliced white bread, dinner rolls and jam, handy for kids to nibble before the meal. Opus240 is a really kid-friendly restaurant in Gamil, Hanam.

There were French fries and gimmari (fried glass-noodle seaweed rolls), and takoyaki (octopus balls) too.

There's tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) and fried chicken too, and they give you seasoning sauces to go with it.

There's soup, miyeok-guk (seaweed soup) and rice as well.

High chairs and a kids' playroom at Opus240

Opus240 Hanam has high chairs, and also the bead ice cream my kid loves so much. I filmed the salad bar as a video too.

There's a kids' playroom too, so children can play during the meal. Note that only kids under 8 can go in.

It's clean and spacious, so it looked like a good place for a kid's birthday party too.

Opus240's 240g steak for 29,000 won: taste and plating

At last, my 240g steak for ₩29,000 arrived. Doesn't it look gorgeous? You can choose the doneness, so I went with medium.

If the kids had been with me, I'd have gone well-done or medium-well, but eating alone I got to have it medium. So happy ^^ haha

The steak came with grilled sweet pumpkin, asparagus, garlic and cherry tomatoes, plus steak sauce, wasabi and whole-grain mustard! For this, it's a really kind price haha

Coming back to Opus240 with the kids

If I come to Opus240 again, I'd definitely order beef over pasta and give it to the kids~

With beef plus the rice, seaweed soup and chicken from the salad bar, I think the kids would polish off a full bowl of rice. Then yogurt and cereal for dessert and playtime in the playroom would be perfect.

Is Opus240 Hanam worth it for a solo meal?

I recommend Opus240 Hanam because the prices are really decent. Chicken is included in the salad bar, and the salad bar is unlimited when you order one dish per person, which is great! The car park is big and parking is 3 hours, so it's easy and stress-free.

The place is spacious with a nice atmosphere, so it works for a date too.

I'd recommend it to anyone in Gamil, Hanam wondering where to have Western food haha, and to anyone who wants to eat steak with their kids.

There are lots of apartment complexes around Opus240 Hanam, so I bet plenty of families come! ^^ I'll have to bring the kids back for steak someday~
