In short
Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch is a sushi buffet on the 6th floor of 247 Nowon-ro in Nowon, Seoul, serving sushi, rolls, hot food and desserts in one place. On a date with a sushi-loving boyfriend, the writer tried salmon and shrimp sushi, made-to-order jjajangmyeon (black bean noodles) and self-serve patbingsu (red bean shaved ice), and was impressed by the open kitchen and friendly staff. Inside Kuu Kuu Nowon: good for dates and family gatherings?
Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch is a spacious, comfortable place of over 300 pyeong, good for dates, family gatherings, meet-ups with friends or company dinners, any time.
There's a playroom for kids and high chairs too, so it works well with small children. I think families will be especially happy here. The menu suits a wide range of ages, so it's a recommendable pick if you're looking for a Nowon family gathering restaurant.
Kuu Kuu Nowon menu

Sushi, gunkan, rolls and salad
As you'd expect from a sushi buffet, the menu at Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch had a really wide variety.

From basic sushi to gunkan (seaweed-wrapped sushi) and rolls, the range was broad, so picking was fun. They looked appetizing too, and lots of people were loading up their plates.
There were also plenty of salads made with fresh vegetables, nice for a light bite between rounds.
Live stations and hot food
At the live station at Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch, we could get warm jjajangmyeon (noodles in black bean sauce), udon and more,

and Western dishes like pasta and pizza were ready too. There was also a variety of hot food such as chicken and pork dishes, so we could try plenty besides sushi.

Drinks, desserts and self-serve bingsu
The drinks at Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch were varied too. Besides soda there were slushies and all kinds of tea, so we could pick what we wanted.
The dessert corner was satisfying as well. There was fresh fruit, a variety of dessert breads and ice cream, plus a bingsu (shaved ice dessert) corner with red bean where you make it your own way, so the meal ended on a good note.
Our review of eating at Kuu Kuu Nowon with my boyfriend
First at Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch, we brought back a good mix of sushi and tried it. We were happy to pick our favorites like salmon and shrimp, and besides sushi we each loaded up on other foods we usually like, as much as we wanted.

I think the biggest plus of a buffet is that you can taste all the things you wanted to eat in one go.

Taking a little of everything, from sushi to rolls, salad, hot food and dessert, made it an even more satisfying meal.
Staff service and open kitchen hygiene
The staff at Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch were very friendly. They greeted us with a bright smile every time, so we felt good throughout the meal. The kitchen is open, so you can watch the cooking and see the food being made, which made us trust it more, and the whole restaurant was kept tidy, which left a good impression on hygiene.

Who Kuu Kuu Nowon is recommended for
If you want a place where you can enjoy a wide variety of dishes your own way, Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch is worth a visit. I especially recommend it if you're looking for a Nowon group dinner spot that has to suit many different tastes, or a Nowon sushi buffet where you can enjoy lots of sushi to your heart's content.
