In short
Gupo Jjambbong (구포짬뽕) is a Chinese restaurant on Sirang-ro in Buk-gu, Busan, that serves jjambbong (spicy seafood noodle soup) made with sanghwang mushroom noodles and an herbal broth. On a trip to nearby Hwamyeong-dong, the writer ordered octopus abalone jjambbong for 15,000 won, premium short rib abalone jjambbong for 18,000 won and seafood platter jjajang (black bean noodles) for 9,000 won, and even the complimentary water at Gupo Jjambbong was sanghwang mushroom tea, which made the meal feel wholesome. Gupo Jjambbong's recommended menu • Seafood scorched rice soup • Tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork) • Eggplant mandu (dumplings) (best-selling item) • Kong-guksu (cold soybean noodle soup) (seasonal menu)
They also run a Naver receipt review event, so be sure to take part 1 participant gets 4 pieces of fried mandu / 2 participants get stir-fried egg, chive, and leek 🤍
Menu and the ₩15,000 lunch special

Especially notable — the 1-person lunch special course ⭐️ Seafood scorched rice soup + tangsuyuk + jjajang, all for ₩15,000 (until 2pm) ⭐️

There are so many menu items, and they all looked delicious, so I spent a long time deciding what to order 🤔

Sanghwang mushroom noodles and herbal broth — even the water is sanghwang mushroom tea
The jjambbong noodles and broth are made with herbal broth and mushrooms, which sets it apart from other Chinese restaurants and gives it a health-conscious touch.
The basic side dishes are pickled radish and onion with chunjang (black bean paste) — if you need more, just help yourself at the self-serve bar.

Every table has vinegar, chili powder, and paper cups of water set out, and it turns out the water is sanghwang mushroom tea too ,, so healthy it's almost overwhelming 🥺
Interior seating

Inside, there's everything from solo counter (dachi) seats to 2-person tables, 4-person tables, and group seating — and the whole place felt really clean and comfortable ➰
What we ordered: octopus abalone jjambbong, premium rib abalone jjambbong, seafood platter jjajang

What we ordered:
- Octopus abalone jjambbong ₩1.5
- Premium rib abalone jjambbong ₩1.8
- Seafood platter jjajang ₩0.9

I've seen plenty of jjambbong with seafood in it, but this was my first time seeing one with ribs in it ..!!! The broth is simmered with herbal ingredients like milk vetch root, angelica root, eleuthero, mulberry, and castor aralia, then loaded with sweet potato stems rich in potassium, calcium, and fiber, plus a generous helping of tender rib meat — basically a health-tonic jjambbong 🤍 Abalone, shrimp, mussels, and even scallops were packed in generously too ✨

The ribs were tender enough to pick up and gnaw off the bone, or you could cut them with scissors — either way, delicious 💗 an absolute visual knockout

Just look at the size of this octopus .. 🙊
The portions really are huge and the broth is clean and refreshing. The noodles are sanghwang mushroom noodles too, so it feels even healthier ?!

Next up, the seafood platter jjajang The noodles are well coated in a slightly spicy sauce with all kinds of fresh vegetables — the kind of flavor that keeps your chopsticks coming back
Glossy and shiny ✨✨
Finishing off even the abalone made for such a satisfying meal ~ It was so delicious that it's already making me want to come back 🫧
They also have aprons and ACV (apple cider vinegar) water ready for you on your way out, so be sure to give it a try 🫧
