The exterior is huge right from the entrance, so I recognized it at a glance: "Ah, it's that famous chain café!"

Inside, it was bustling with lots of people. But the café is so big, with so many kinds of seating, that it easily holds that many people and then some, haha.

Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon is staffed by day and unmanned at night, so it runs 24 hours. The staffed and unmanned systems are run so smartly that you can use the café comfortably at any hour!

• Monday-Friday: 08:00-22:00 (staffed) / 22:00-08:00 (unmanned)
• Saturday-Sunday: 10:00-21:00 (staffed) / 21:00-10:00 (unmanned)

It's a staffed store with employees during the day and runs on the unmanned system from late night to morning, 24 hours a day. Pretty much the perfect condition for dropping by anytime in Gangnam without any pressure, right?!

Is the solo study seat good for iPad work?

The solo study seats at Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon have a 2-hour time limit, and even at lunchtime it was quiet and good for working. I came at lunch, needed to grab a quick meal and do iPad work, so I took a solo study seat on one side of the café. The solo seats are limited to 2 hours so that many people can use them fairly!

The chair was so, so soft and comfortable, and even though the whole café was busy at lunchtime, the study seat area was strangely quiet, haha. That made it perfect for focusing on my iPad work with top-notch concentration!

How is Selecto's kabocha egg sandwich as a meal replacement?

At Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon I ordered the Mocha Blend and Geisha Blend coffees and a kabocha (sweet pumpkin) egg sandwich. I'd had nothing since morning and was completely on an empty stomach, so I was hungry and craving coffee, and I placed my order with gusto!

I was curious about the beans, so I ordered both of Selecto's signature beans, the Mocha Blend and the Geisha Blend, plus the hearty kabocha egg sandwich as my meal! But wait... I know I was starving, but why is this kabocha egg sandwich so good?!

The kabocha egg sandwich comes as a set of 2, and before eating I was thinking, "I'll eat just one first and save the other for when I'm peckish tonight," okay?

Yeah, right! One bite and the sweetness of the kabocha and the nutty richness of the egg drove me wild, and I cleared both on the spot in no time, hahaha. I really recommend it as a meal replacement!

How do the Geisha Blend and Mocha Blend taste different?

Selecto's Geisha Blend had strong acidity, while the Mocha Blend was a classic, heavy, nutty flavor. Comparing the beans was a lot of fun! First, the Geisha Blend had its distinctive bitterness along with a strong, fresh acidic aroma. If you usually prefer fruity or clean, acidic beans, this will absolutely hit your taste!

And the Mocha Blend had the classic nutty flavor that people who like heavy, nutty coffee, like me, will love! Honestly, I'm a total "nutty person," but lately I've been challenging myself with acidic beans. And strangely, this day the strongly acidic Geisha Blend left such a lasting aftertaste that it stayed in my memory longer, hahaha. I think I'm falling for the charm of acidity!

Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon has a restroom inside the café, with men's and women's sections separated within one shared space. It was kept very clean and fully equipped, so it was really convenient to use.
