Paldal-gu noodle restaurant before the rush: suyuk and pajeon, Daseon
Daseon Kalguksu Main Branch is a local kalguksu (knife-cut noodle soup) restaurant tucked into an alley off Hyanggyo-ro in Paldal-gu, Suwon. Arriving a little before mealtime meant an unhurried seat at Daseon Kalguksu, where the order was clam kalguksu, haemul pajeon (seafood pancake) and suyuk (boiled pork). The broth is mild and true to the basics, and the old-school room suits a slow meal with family or friends.
