Dog café near Sokcho with sprinkle-on dog toothpaste: Hello Mamma Mia
In short
Hello Mamma Mia is a dog-friendly café in Mulchi, Yangyang, just south of Sokcho, where the owner, Korea's first certified "pet foodist," makes and sells natural handmade dog treats and dog toothpaste. Because of the hotel's weight limit for dogs, the writer visited Hello Mamma Mia without their dog on day three of a Sokcho trip, played with the resident dogs, toured the large terrace and bought a natural toothpaste that you sprinkle over kibble. If your dog hates having its teeth brushed, it's worth hearing the owner of Hello Mamma Mia explain the toothpaste in person.

I came to Sokcho on a trip, but the hotel I booked only allowed dogs under 5kg, so sadly I couldn't bring my baby along ㅜㅜ On day three, I was wondering what to do after lunch when I heard about a dog café nearby that sells natural treats, toothpaste and more that the owner developed herself, so I made time to go! It's the dog-friendly café Hello Mamma Mia, near Sokcho!
The deciding reason I picked Hello Mamma Mia was that the owner is Korea's first "pet foodist." I even bought the natural toothpaste, so today I'm sharing a dog toothpaste review too. Read to the end for the space, menu, daycare and toothpaste info, and take all the tips with you!
Who runs Hello Mamma Mia?
The owner of Hello Mamma Mia is Korea's first pet foodist, a pet expert who has researched pet food for over 10 years. Believing expertise should match heart, she earned certifications as a Level 1 pet behavior corrector, a pet care manager and a pet funeral director.

She also holds several patents related to pet food.

To her, a pet is more than family, the reason for living that helped her hold on through her hardest times. I was also struck by her story of opening Hello Mamma Mia wanting to be an aunt to every pet. I could feel that sincerity all over the place.
How much is dog daycare at Hello Mamma Mia?
Daycare at Hello Mamma Mia is ₩10,000, and natural handmade treats are included. It's also registered as an animal boarding business, so you can leave your pet with confidence.
She started the service because it hurt to see people leave dogs in stuffy cars when visiting places that don't allow pets. There's a terrace, so the dogs left here can run around and sunbathe, and with an expert owner watching them, I felt I could trust leaving a dog here. It's an especially reassuring dog-friendly café near Sokcho for people traveling with their dogs.
Opening hours and pet entry fee
Hello Mamma Mia is open daily from 10:00 to 19:00. Entry for a pet is ₩3,000, and a manner belt is provided at the door. Wearing the manner belt is required, so keep that in mind!
Hello Mamma Mia location and parking
The address of Hello Mamma Mia is 41 Mulchicheon-ro, Ganghyeon-myeon, Yangyang-gun, Gangwon, 1st floor (lot address: Mulchi-ri 223-1). It's in Mulchi, just south of Sokcho, so it's an easy dog-friendly café to drop by with a car during a Sokcho trip.
For parking, there's a large free lot behind the building 👍 There are also disabled parking spaces, a waiting area and Wi-Fi.

Can you visit without a dog? Meet the friendly resident dogs

Why it was fine without my dog!! It's all thanks to the resident dogs of Hello Mamma Mia. The owner has 3 dogs, and one of them is super affectionate and friendly, wagging her tail to greet me the moment I walked in.

The other two are older, and they were lazily sunbathing on the terrace. Watching them made my heart go all warm and fuzzy haha (I should have brought mine too... I miss her...)

I ordered one iced Americano (₩5,500) and one café latte (₩6,000).
What is the 60-pyeong terrace like?

I loved that Hello Mamma Mia has a terrace as well as indoor space. The 60-pyeong yard (about 200 square meters) is laid with soft artificial turf, so no worries about ticks.
The layout lets dogs run around freely and sunbathe. It's well ventilated and pleasant, so I had no worries about dog smell at all. Even on a slightly chilly day, you can rest indoors and step out to the terrace when the sun is nice, so getting around was easy.

Props and photo zones are set up here and there, so it's perfect for getting the shot of a lifetime with your dog.

What is the natural dog toothpaste you sprinkle on kibble?
What I was most curious about at Hello Mamma Mia was the natural toothpaste you sprinkle on kibble. It's made with 100% natural ingredients and is meant for managing bad breath and tartar on the gums.

Among the owner's patents is one for a "tartar-removing dental care composition" (No. 10-1968865). She also holds a patent for a kibble composition using spirulina (No. 10-1620734).
For dogs who hate brushing, you just sprinkle it on their kibble, which sounded so easy. You can also apply it directly to the gums. I wanted to recommend it to owners in the middle of a toothbrushing war, so I bought one right away.
It's made in small, frequent batches in the production facility at the back of the shop and sold fresh, and you can see it before you buy. There's also a separate gift set for pets, which would be good as a present for a dog-loving friend.
How to use the sprinkle-on dog toothpaste
The natural toothpaste from Hello Mamma Mia can be used when brushing, or you can sprinkle a spoonful over kibble or a favorite treat. It's made so that even picky eaters will take it well, I was told.
- Adjust the amount to your dog's weight and condition
- Watch the reaction at first
- Store somewhere cool and dry, out of direct sunlight
Besides toothpaste, there are other pet nutrition products for hair care, eye care, skin care and more. If you're looking for a natural dog toothpaste, hear the explanation in person at the shop and pick one out.
Next time, I'm bringing my dog
Next time I'll definitely bring my baby to sunbathe together on the terrace and try the dog brunch set. If you're looking for a dog-friendly café near Sokcho, or want a natural dog toothpaste, I highly recommend Hello Mamma Mia 👍 There are plenty of other handmade dog treats besides toothpaste, so drop by and take your time looking around~~><
