Eunpyeong ramen with a 1,000-won soft-boiled egg: Oreno Ramen
Oreno Ramen Eunpyeong is a chicken broth ramen restaurant on Bulgwangcheon-gil in Eunpyeong, Seoul, and the menu has just two bowls: tori paitan and kara paitan, 13,000 won each. We added a soft-boiled marinated egg for 1,000 won to both the plain tori paitan and the spicy kara paitan, then asked for a bowl of rice to finish off the leftover broth. Even a grandmother who sticks to Korean food and rarely eats anything foreign asked to come back for this rich chicken broth.
