Incheon Yeonsu-dong pub for round-two chicken and beer: Geumbyeol Beer
In short
Geumbyeol Beer Incheon Yeonsu Branch is a hof-style pub in the Yeonsu-dong food alley in Yeonsu-gu, Incheon. The writer stopped by Geumbyeol Beer for a second round after dinner and had hot crispy chicken, peanuts, beer and a pineapple slush. The chicken had a familiar crunch, and the dim lighting and well-spaced tables made conversation easy. For a round-two chicken-and-beer spot in Yeonsu-dong with a wide menu, Geumbyeol Beer Incheon Yeonsu Branch is a safe choice.

What kind of bar is Geumbyeol Beer Incheon Yeonsu Branch?
Geumbyeol Beer (금별맥주) Incheon Yeonsu Branch is a bar in the Yeonsu-dong eating alley in Incheon. We had dinner at our first stop and went "round two has to be chimaek!" (chimaek = fried chicken and beer) and headed here 🍺 It's a good-value chicken-and-beer spot in Yeonsu-dong, so we picked it for round two.

Location and parking
The address is 1 Saemmal-ro 44beon-gil, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon, and if you use Neulbom Underground Public Parking Lot, they support ₩1,000 of the parking fee. It's in the Yeonsu-dong eating alley, so it wasn't hard to find, and it was handy to know there's parking if you bring a car.
It works well for a company dinner (hoesik) or a casual drink, and I hear the place stays open pretty late.
How varied is the Geumbyeol Beer menu?
From chicken to pizza, pasta, stews and fried dishes, the menu is seriously huge, haha. We'd already filled up a fair bit at our first stop, so this time we planned to keep it light with beer and chicken.

With a menu this varied, a big group of friends could each pick something they want. After some debate over what to order, here's what we chose:
- Hot crispy chicken
- Peanuts
- Beer
- A pineapple slush to finish
Isn't that just the perfect round-two combo? Haha
How did the hot crispy chicken taste?

The hot crispy chicken is said to be chicken seasoned with a spicy marinade, cooked at a low temperature, then fried until crunchy. When we actually ate it, the coating was properly crispy.
The flavor was similar to the hot crispy style you get at ordinary chicken places. Not a brand-new taste, more a familiar, tasty chicken that goes well with beer!

Crispy outside, juicy inside, and with a glass of beer it really did go well together 🍺 If you've already eaten a full meal at your first stop, ordering one chicken and chatting over beer like this seems just right.
Peanuts are a basic snack
The peanuts we ordered as a side tasted exactly like the peanuts you're picturing, haha. Still, when you're drinking beer, a salty snack like this keeps your hand going back for more.

They were good for nibbling while waiting for the chicken, and fine as a light beer snack.
Finishing with a pineapple slush

We ended the night with the Geumbyeol Beer pineapple slush! It's like pineapple sherbet topped with ice cream, so it looked cute too.
After chicken and beer your mouth feels a little greasy and salty, so a cold, sweet pineapple slush at the end was a nice palate cleanser. It makes a good last dessert for a night of drinking.
Is the Geumbyeol Beer Yeonsu atmosphere good for dates or company dinners?

The lighting is a little dim and the tables are spaced just right, so it was a nice place to talk. When you hear "franchise bar," you tend to picture the same interior everywhere, right? But Geumbyeol Beer's atmosphere was better than I expected.
The lights aren't too bright, giving it a dim, cozy feel, and the table spacing is comfortable, so we could talk without worrying about the next table. It's fine for a company dinner or a get-together with friends, and it would suit a date in Yeonsu-dong better than you'd think.
The place feels upscale and the snack menu is varied, so I recommend it for company dinners or a casual round of drinks!
Next time: Geumbyeol Beer's pastry pizza
One of the famous items at Geumbyeol Beer is the pastry pizza, but we were too full to try it that day. It's the style with cheese and toppings on a dough of flaky layers, so I bet it goes well with beer.

Next time I want to come for the first round and properly eat the pizza too, haha
If you're looking for a good-value bar in Yeonsu-dong
Geumbyeol Beer Incheon Yeonsu Branch has such a wide menu that it seems fine for company dinners, friend get-togethers, dates and round two alike. The table spacing and lighting were comfortable too, so it was easy to sit and talk for a long time, and the upside is that there's everything from beer-friendly chicken and pizza to proper meal dishes.

Next time I'm definitely trying the pastry pizza + beer combo! When you're in Yeonsu-dong wondering "where should we get a beer tonight?", Geumbyeol Beer looks like a decent choice if you want a bar with a wide menu 🍺
