What is Downtowner Yeouido?

Downtowner Yeouido is a handmade burger shop on the ground floor of the One Sentinel building in Yeouido. Downtowner has a huge number of branches beyond this one, so it's an easy burger brand to find and enjoy pretty much anywhere.

I've fallen for burgers lately, and especially handmade burgers. I love them, but my partner loves burgers even more, so the two of us have been having fun hunting down great burger places. That's how we ended up at Downtowner, famous for its handmade burgers. I really wanted to introduce this Yeouido burger spot, Downtowner Yeouido, to you, my neighbors (fellow bloggers)!

Is there parking at Downtowner Yeouido?

You can park in the building's basement, and after your meal you just tell the staff and they'll register the parking for you. The shop is on the ground floor, so it was easy to find, and parking and visiting was really convenient.

Inside Downtowner Yeouido and how to order at the kiosk

You order at the kiosk in front of the kitchen and take a buzzer. The interior was very modern and clean. There's even a separate zone just for the ordering kiosks!

The walls had photos of Downtowner's yummy burgers, and I started drooling the moment I saw them, haha

Tables come in everything from 2-seaters to bigger group tables, so I bet lots of Yeouido office workers come here for lunch! It would also be a nice place for a work dinner with burgers, right?

The whole place feels super clean and modern, which I liked even more.

Right next to the kiosk there's a menu board too, so it was easy to see everything at a glance.

What's at the Downtowner self-bar?

At the self-bar you can help yourself to as much ice and drinks as you like!

Pickles, spicy pickles, napkins, pickle cups and forks are all set out, so just grab whatever you need! We ordered the avocado burger and the Egg Bulgogi burger (bulgogi is Korean marinated beef).

How do Downtowner's avocado and Egg Bulgogi burgers taste?

The avocado burger at Downtowner Yeouido is a fresh burger packed with tomato and avocado, and the Egg Bulgogi burger is a bulgogi burger with an egg added. After a short wait the burgers came out quickly, and just look at them. Gorgeous, right?

I don't normally eat fries, so I ordered only the avocado burger. It's loaded with tomato and avocado, so you really feel the freshness!

The Egg Bulgogi burger has bulgogi, which Koreans can't help but love, plus an egg for protein! You can all imagine how it tastes, right? It's a "maseopseop" (맛없없) menu item, meaning there's no way it could taste bad.

Are the fries at Downtowner good?

The fries at Downtowner Yeouido were really chunky. Unlike thin fries, the potato flavor felt richer and creamier, and my partner loved them! Even I, someone who barely eats fries, went "Oh, delicious!"

The avocado burger here, I mean... if you like avocado, you have to try it! The mild flavor of the avocado goes so well with the beef patty that with every bite I was sad to watch the burger shrink.. And the spicy pickles were so good too, I munched them down along with the burger! They aren't really hot, and they're perfect if you start to feel the richness of a burger ♥

Is Downtowner Yeouido worth a visit?

I tried the signature avocado burger and Egg Bulgogi burger at Downtowner Yeouido, and if you like burgers, I recommend visiting the handmade burger favorite Downtowner at least once ♥
