Cleansing balm for dehydrated oily skin: HEEDA Jirisan Charcoal

How did it feel on dehydrated oily skin?

My skin is dehydrated oily skin—oily on the surface but tight underneath. Cleansing milks and oils felt heavy to me, while water-based cleansers seemed lacking in cleansing power, so I tried this cleansing balm.

I scooped out one spoonful and massaged it over the back of my hand and my face, and it melted softly at body temperature. Even visually, it did not seem excessively oily, and I found it fairly refreshing.

How did it remove makeup?

I applied it to my skin and gently massaged to melt the makeup, then added water, massaged once more, and rinsed. Sunscreen and lip and eye makeup came off well with a gentle rub. I thought I could finish cleansing with this product alone when I was not wearing heavy makeup.

Did it leave skin dry after washing?

After rinsing, it left my skin feeling moisturized without being too dry or oily. I felt less of the tightness I usually get after cleansing, and even without applying lotion right away, the tight feeling was not severe.

Was the container and spatula convenient to use?

When you open the lid, there is a dedicated spatula inside. Since the spatula can be clipped onto the top of the lid for storage, I felt there would be less chance of setting it aside and losing it.

Who do I think it would suit?

I think it would suit people like me who find oil or milk cleansers burdensome but still want reliable cleansing power. My husband, who finds double cleansing inconvenient, also keeps it in the bathroom and uses it with a quick massage.
