Thinking about a summer vacation, I tried styling the Meda Bag Rattan Shoulder Bag with several outfits. In practice, I took it to the supermarket and nearby cafés for several days, checking its capacity and comfort to see whether it could work for travel too.
What were my first impressions of the packaging and weave?
The bag arrived in its own nonwoven dust bag. I thought it would be useful for keeping dust off when storing it separately.

I worried the weave might be uneven, but it felt fairly consistent and sturdy to the touch. The texture felt somewhere between paper and cord, and it was not especially scratchy against my arm. The roomy size was the first thing I noticed when I took it out.
How big is it, and how much does it hold?
When I wore it, at my mid-to-late-160-cm height, the bag fell below my hips. It was large, but because it sits close to the body, it did not make me feel noticeably bulkier when worn.

It was large enough for A4 paper, a thin cardigan, and a pouch. Here is what I put in it at once:
- Wallet and phone
- A small pouch with lip product and cushion foundation
- One tumbler
- A thin cardigan
- A small umbrella
Even with all of that inside, the bag did not lose its shape much. When I put it over my shoulder, the weight seemed to settle naturally downward, while the material's stiffness held the bottom and overall shape to some extent. The wide-open top also made it easy to reach inside.

Is the shoulder comfortable when it is packed?
My favorite feature was the shoulder strap. It has fabric added to the inner side, so it felt less bothersome even against bare skin.

Because the strap is wide, it felt less like the weight was pressing into one shoulder when the bag was full. Even after grocery shopping and walking around, the strap did not dig in or leave marks. The bag itself felt light for its size, and the strap did not feel tight even over a padded jacket or coat.
How does it work with dresses and all-black outfits?
What does it look like with a red patterned dress?
Worn with a red patterned maxi dress I already owned, it made me think of a vacation. The bag was a beige tone that was neither overly yellow nor dark, so it paired naturally with a strongly colored dress too.

To my eye, the proportions of the long dress and large bag worked well too. From the side, the bag naturally covered my waist and hip line, which made me feel less self-conscious.

Does it also suit a navy maxi dress?
With a navy maxi dress, the light-colored bag became an accent. It added a light seasonal feeling to an otherwise dark outfit, and I thought I could carry it on my commute too.

I especially liked it personally with a floaty pleated dress. It made me feel that a rattan bag I had thought of only for travel could also work with everyday outfits.
Is it okay to carry with a T-shirt and slacks?
I also tried it with a black top and black slacks. Adding the beige bag to a basic all-black outfit created an easy summer look for going to the supermarket or a café.

Even on a casually dressed day, one bag could make the outfit feel a little more put together. Looking at the full outfit in the mirror, I also liked how the rattan material added a summery mood.
How was it after several days of grocery and café trips?
On supermarket trips, I put in milk, snacks, and a few vegetables. During the time I used it, it held the weight well and I did not notice the straps stretching. When I met a friend at a café, I put in a notebook and tablet; it did not become excessively stuffed and kept a natural shape.
The interior is simple, so I thought it would be good to use a pouch or bag organizer as well if you want to separate your belongings.

Within the scope of my actual use, I liked the roomy storage and how the shoulder strap felt. I have not used it for travel yet, but in summer I would like to carry it with a dress and pack essentials such as sunscreen and sunglasses.
