Gangneung café choco bread and 30-minute holiday wait: Coffee Dripper

I visited a Gangneung café today~! A friend of mine moved to Gangneung, so it had been a while since we met up. Gangneung has the sea nearby, art museums too, and its culture and arts scene is really well developed~~ It's also famous as a tourist spot, so lots of people flock here~ Today I'll share my review of the café we tried together^^

Coffee Dripper: location, hours and parking in Chodang-dong

Coffee Dripper is a café in Chodang-dong, Gangneung, located at 229-4 Nanseolheon-ro, 1st floor, Gangneung, Gangwon, South Korea. It's open Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 10:00 to 18:00, and closed every Tuesday.

It's located right across from Café Toetmaru in Gangneung. We visited on Liberation Day (August 15), and wow... there were so many people..! Chodang-dong is famous, so it seemed like a lot of people were flocking there~~ Luckily Coffee Dripper had about two seats open, so we sat right down..

What Coffee Dripper looks like inside and out

Coffee Dripper's exterior and interior are clean and neat^^ It's a ground-floor shop. It had a clean, modern feel like a newly opened place^^ Doesn't it look pretty even in photos?? The design definitely passed the test!

What we ordered at Coffee Dripper: drinks and desserts

At Coffee Dripper we ordered coffee ice cream, milk ice cream, and the Dripper signature cream latte. Looking at the menu board, there were lots of tasty signature lattes as well as ice cream and other drinks~~ Having ice cream on the menu made me so happy.

But the desserts looked delicious too. Trusting the owner's recommendation, we added one chocolate bread^^ (I should have ordered more of these.. I regretted it after tasting it.. everyone, order more of these..)

How long is the weekend wait at Coffee Dripper?

At Coffee Dripper, on busy weekends it can take 20–30 minutes just for the drinks to come out. It seemed to take even longer because of the desserts and ice creams too~~ We waited a bit, and then the menu appeared!! Chatting away while avoiding the hot outdoors made the time fly by.. We didn't really feel like we'd waited long, and once the drinks arrived we enjoyed them~

Coffee ice cream and milk ice cream: how they taste

The coffee flavor is like a fancy upgraded version of Deoweosanyang (a Korean coffee-flavored ice cream bar), delicious. The milk one had something tart and fruity on top, which made it even more delicious^^ The ice cream itself is a premium-quality ice cream, so it's really good~ (Honestly every menu item is pretty solid...!)

The Dripper signature cream latte

I drank the signature cream latte in one go^^ Sweet and bitter, and delicious. The cream is a moderate amount, not too much! Still, it was great eaten together with the bread.

The owner-recommended chocolate bread

The moment we'd been waiting for: chocolate bread! There's chocolate inside too..! It's made with a crispy pastry-like bread, and it's fun to tear off pieces with your hands.. Next time I'm planning to eat three of them.........haha The flavor I already know is the best flavor, right?? So delicious, this dessert. There was a reason the owner recommended it so enthusiastically.

Why every drink works at this Gangneung café, Coffee Dripper

There are a lot of famous cafés in Gangneung.. but I'm glad we came to Dripper. Next time I want to try the chocolate bread and the corn affogato.. The cone looked huge too!! A dripper café with real signature drinks!! Very satisfied!!!

Who should visit Coffee Dripper?

Even having to stand in line....haha If you can't stand waiting, this isn't for you, but if you care about both flavor and interior atmosphere! I'd recommend it to you^^!!!! Coffee Dripper is refreshing, clean, and tasty too.. This review left me feeling like I found the right place.

Next time I'm planning to eat three chocolate breads.........haha
