What makes this a good rattan bag for a summer resort trip?

With my next destination in Southeast Asia, I got a rattan bag ready in advance to take to a resort. I tend to reach for basic designs often, so I chose the Meda Bag Women's Summer Rattan Shoulder Bag.

It is a lightweight shoulder style, and I had it in mind for carrying the things I would need while traveling or on a hotel vacation.

Rattan bags come in many shapes, colors, and sizes, but I thought I would use a simple, basic design more often.

How were the color and packaging?

I chose brown over beige. It came neatly packaged in a pouch, and I also received earrings as a free gift. Since I worry about color transfer, I store it in the pouch.

Was it convenient for carrying travel essentials?

I loved the lightweight feel of rattan on my last trip to Bali, and this bag felt light to carry too. That is why I wanted to have it ready as a travel bag in advance.

When a rattan bag has an open top, keeping track of belongings at a destination can be a concern, but this one has a full zipper, so I could put things inside and zip it closed.

With divided interior compartments and roomy storage, it was convenient to carry travel items together, such as an iPad, power bank, AirPods, and wet wipes.

Was it suitable for everyday outings too?

The rattan weave felt sturdy, and the design was a simple basic without being overdone. I think it would suit light outings and everyday looks as well as resorts and travel.

For me, it was neither too large nor too small, and what I liked most was that it was lightweight and had a zipper. Since it is brown, I plan to use it in fall as well as summer.
