Whole grilled mackerel from a Master Chef's open kitchen: Min Cook
Min Cook Misoyaki is a grilled fish and rice bowl restaurant in Goyang, Gyeonggi, on the first floor of the Min Cook Dasima building near Hwajeong Station. Visiting on a Saturday at 1pm, the writer ordered an extra-large whole mackerel grilled with miso and a raw salmon rice bowl, watching them cook in the open-kitchen oven right up front, and found the mackerel free of any fishy smell and the salmon meltingly soft. It looks like an ordinary grilled fish restaurant, but the quality made for a really satisfying meal.
