The other day I finished work a little earlier than usual, so I headed to the Gangnam Station area for dinner 🥰 I had a hearty meal at Oreno Ramen Gangnam: ramen with tsukune (Japanese-style chicken meatballs) and a draft beer :)

The shop is on the 2nd floor, so you go up the stairs to reach it :) It's a handy spot when you're craving ramen around Gangnam Station, haha.

Is Oreno Ramen Gangnam okay for eating alone?
Inside there are bar seats and regular tables, so it's good for solo dining and also fine for coming with a friend :) I went on a weekday and there were still quite a few diners, haha.
It's a famous place, so I guess people really do come. It's a good spot when you want a tasty bowl of ramen near Gangnam Station!

Cups, chopsticks and tissues are neatly set out on the table, so you can grab what you need right away. With the basics well stocked, it's easy to eat comfortably :)
Water and aprons are also available in the shop. If you worry about broth splashing on your clothes, the apron is a nice touch :)

Order at the kiosk
Ordering at Oreno Ramen Gangnam is easy with the kiosk in the shop 🥰 You can take your time looking over the menu, pick what you want and order, which was convenient.

Free side dishes: kimchi, pickled ginger and pickled radish
The side dishes at Oreno Ramen Gangnam were kimchi, pickled ginger and pickled radish :) They're nice to nibble on between bites of ramen, a combination that cleanses the palate.
The side dishes are set out on the table for you to help yourself, and I hear the kimchi can be refilled.
How does the tori paitan ramen taste?
What I ordered this day: tori paitan ramen, assorted tsukune and draft beer.

My ramen was Oreno Ramen's signature tori paitan (creamy chicken broth ramen)! The broth looked really appetizing 👍🏻 One sip and it was rich and nutty, so good.
It was easily one of the best ramen I've ever had! I could see why Oreno Ramen is so famous :)

The noodles had a nice chewy bite and blended well with the broth 🫶🏻

The chicken on top was tender too, a perfect match with the noodles! 😆 From the broth to the noodles to the meat, nothing disappointed 👏🏻

The soft-boiled egg was especially amazing! The creamy yolk and slight saltiness went so well with the broth that I keep thinking about it :)

What is the assorted tsukune side like?
I ordered the assorted tsukune because ramen alone felt a bit lacking! It's a Japanese-style grilled chicken meatball made from minced chicken, soft and juicy 👍🏻

With cheese and mentaiko added, it went nicely alongside the ramen :) If ramen alone feels like too little, try ordering it as a side!

Does draft beer go well with the ramen?
The last thing I added at Oreno Ramen Gangnam was draft beer. Ramen can't go without beer, right? 😆 A cold glass went well with the rich ramen broth 👍🏻
Adding beer to the ramen made the meal even more satisfying!

Final verdict on a weekday dinner at Oreno Ramen Gangnam
Thanks to leaving work early, I got to enjoy a relaxed dinner at Oreno Ramen Gangnam near Gangnam Station. With ramen, a side and draft beer, it was more than enough for a meal 👍🏻
The tori paitan in particular has a rich, nutty broth that's really clean-tasting and delicious :) It's among the best ramen I've had! The tender chicken and soft-boiled egg made a great combination, and I enjoyed it to the last bite, haha. Ordering the tsukune too made the meal even more generous :)
With so many customers on a weekday evening, I could see why it's such a well-known ramen spot. Ordering by kiosk is easy and the atmosphere is fine for eating alone, so it feels easy to drop by. If you're craving a warm bowl of ramen near Gangnam Station, put Oreno Ramen Gangnam on your list ❤️
