Chicken gomtang vs samgyetang kalguksu with mom: Hanyang Dak Kalguksu
Hanyang Dak Kalguksu Main Branch is a chicken restaurant in Songpa, Seoul, right by Gyeongchal Hospital Station with parking in front of the store. On a rainy day, the writer and her mom ordered samgyetang kalguksu (14,900 won), the signature dak gomtang (chicken and rice soup), and meat king mandu (6,900 won), and the broth — simmered over 12 hours — was so rich and generous that the two of them couldn't finish it all. If you love noodles go for the dak kalguksu, if you love rice go for the dak gomtang; a solid pick for a family meal out.
