Sinnonhyeon Italian restaurant with glass-roof terrace: Brivit Gangnam

From handmade gnocchi to the cute rabbit pasta, a Gangnam Station–Sinnonhyeon date spot that nails both mood and taste

I had plans with a friend after a while, and while looking for a place with good atmosphere, I ended up at Brivit. Not only was the interior pretty, but every dish was delicious too, so by the end of the meal I understood why it's so popular. The atmosphere made it perfect for a blind date or a regular date, and since the food was great too, I'm thinking of coming back with my husband next time :)

Where is Brivit Gangnam Station and how do you get there?

Brivit is located at 31 Gangnam-daero 102-gil, 1st floor, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, South Korea. It sits between Gangnam Station and Sinnonhyeon Station, so it's easy to reach from either one.

From Gangnam Station (Line 2, Sinbundang Line), take exit 11 or 12 and head toward the alley by CGV Gangnam — it's about a 4-minute walk. From Sinnonhyeon Station (Line 9, Sinbundang Line), take exit 6 and walk toward the same CGV Gangnam alley, about 3 minutes.

The pink-toned storefront caught my eye right away, so it wasn't hard to find even on a first visit. Hours are 11:30–21:15 with last order at 20:30. There's no dedicated parking lot and no parking fee support, so if you drive, you'll need to use a nearby paid lot — options include the Yeoksam Culture Park No. 2 public parking lot or the underground paid lot at CGV Gangnam.

Inside Brivit Gangnam Station: the glass-roof terrace seats

Walking in, I noticed a space that blended warm wood tones with pink accents. It felt cute overall without being overdone, which made it comfortable to eat in. The wood-paneled walls, sentimental framed art, and soft lighting gave it the feel of a small European café rather than just a restaurant.

There were sofa seats too, and baskets under the tables for bags and belongings — a thoughtful touch I appreciated.

But the space that impressed me most at Brivit was the terrace. Even though it's in the heart of Gangnam Station, the terrace was full of green plants, giving off a completely different vibe. Under the glass roof, with lush greenery and rattan-style chairs, it genuinely felt like an outdoor sidewalk café.

Gangnam Station tends to feel like a dense downtown area full of buildings and traffic, so this one spot felt notably more relaxed, almost resort-like — that made a real impression. If you're meeting someone for a blind date or a date where atmosphere matters, the terrace seats are worth using. They're popular, though, so I'd recommend booking ahead and requesting the seat you want.

Brivit menu and prices: what comes in each set?

Brivit offers a wide range beyond pasta and gnocchi — salads, risotto, steak, and sides too. If you're visiting as a pair, a set menu is worth considering.

The beet set is ₩50,700 for two, made up of 2 main dishes, 1 side dish worth ₩10,900, and 2 drinks. Extra charges may apply depending on what you choose. The brie set is ₩70,200 for two, made up of 1 Brivit steak, 1 main, 1 side, and 2 drinks.

What we ordered with the beet set for two

We went with the beet set for two this time. We picked the Greek yogurt & tomato salad, the porcini shrimp gnocchi, and the hop-hop! rabbit pasta, plus drinks.

Being able to try several dishes at once made the set a great option if you can't decide what to order on your first visit.

Greek yogurt & tomato salad at Brivit Gangnam Station

We started with the Greek yogurt & tomato salad. Red cherry tomatoes were topped with white Greek yogurt, fresh basil, and purple taro chips.

Rather than a plain vegetable salad, it was plated more like a proper dish, pretty enough that I reached for my camera as soon as it landed on the table. The tangy, juicy tomatoes paired with the thick Greek yogurt gave it a soft, mellow flavor, and the subtle basil aroma was great for waking up the appetite. Since it centered on tomato and yogurt rather than leafy greens like a typical salad, it worked well as a light starter.

Porcini shrimp gnocchi: how does it taste?

The dish I personally enjoyed most was the porcini shrimp gnocchi. Golden pan-seared handmade gnocchi and plump shrimp came together in a porcini mushroom cream sauce.

It was topped with cheese and sliced red radish, looking quite appetizing. Brivit apparently makes its gnocchi by hand in-house, and eating it confirmed that — the outside was golden and slightly crispy while the inside stayed chewy, a texture noticeably different from ordinary gnocchi. Combined with the rich porcini cream sauce and plump shrimp, it was a great pairing.

The cream sauce coated the gnocchi thoroughly while the shrimp's texture still came through here and there, making each bite fun to eat one by one. If you like gnocchi, this is a dish worth ordering at least once at Brivit.

Hop-hop! rabbit pasta, Brivit's signature dish

And the dish that caught my eye the most, purely for looks, was the hop-hop! rabbit pasta. Little rabbits made of mozzarella cheese sat on top of rigatoni in a spicy tomato sauce, with olives used for the eyes and nose — the moment it arrived, all we could say was how cute it was haha.

I thought it might just be a fun-looking dish, but the taste held up too. The rabbit-shaped mozzarella was soft yet chewy, and eaten with the rigatoni, the cheese's mild flavor blended well with the tomato sauce. The sauce also had squid and shrimp in it, with a bit of spice, which felt refreshing to the palate after the cream-based gnocchi.

With its cute look, it seemed especially suited to a blind date or date where you want to take photos.

Is Brivit Gangnam Station worth it for a date?

Since it had been a while since I'd made plans with a friend, I intentionally looked for a place with good atmosphere, and the food turned out even better than expected, which stuck with me. Usually restaurants with great atmosphere ask you to compromise a bit on taste, but Brivit had both a pretty space and delicious food, and I get why it's so popular.

The porcini shrimp gnocchi especially stood out for its texture and rich sauce, and the rabbit pasta wasn't just cute — the spicy tomato sauce and seafood combo worked well too. The atmosphere was relaxed enough to chat slowly with my friend over the meal, and after seeing the terrace, I thought it'd also be a great spot for a date with my husband next time.

If you're looking for a blind date or date spot near Gangnam Station or Sinnonhyeon Station where you can have both atmosphere and good food, I'd recommend Brivit :) If you want to take pretty photos in a nice space while enjoying good pasta or gnocchi, it's worth a visit ^^
