Blackhead cleansing balm for summer skin: HEEDA Jirisan Charcoal

As summer brought more sweat and oil, I used HEEDA Jirisan Moist Charcoal Cleansing Balm because I was concerned about sebum and blackheads around my nose. Rather than using a nose pack, which can feel quite irritating, I wanted to manage them as part of my daily cleansing step.

What are the texture and feel like?

This is a balm-type product introduced as containing the benefits of oil. A dedicated spatula sits inside the container, so I could scoop out only what I needed, and it spread softly over the skin and adhered well. It had that close-fitting feel, but it did not feel overly stifling while I used it.

It felt more moisturizing than drying, and I also thought the container was easy enough to carry around.

How did I care for blackheads around my nose?

• On a dry face, I scooped out an appropriate amount with the spatula and spread it on.
• I massaged thoroughly, including around my nose.
• While massaging, I noticed areas that felt like little sebum granules.

I focused on rubbing around my nose a little more. After cleansing, my blackheads felt cleared up, and my skin texture felt soft and moisturized. I was satisfied enough that I did not feel the need to use a separate nose pack, though this was my personal experience.

Who might it suit?

It seemed worth considering if summer oiliness and nose-area sebum concern you but you are looking for a balm cleanser that feels less drying after washing. I am going to keep using it as part of my daily cleansing routine.
