Cleansing balm for heavy makeup: HEEDA Jirisan Moist Charcoal

How much heavy makeup did it remove?

I used it on a day when I had heavy makeup on. It seemed to remove more than 90% of my overall makeup in one go, so it felt convenient when I wanted to cut down on multiple cleansing steps.

However, a little mascara residue came off on my hands. Waterproof products did not come off completely in one go, so I needed to use a remover or cleanse again.

How did I use it?

• I spread the cleansing balm evenly over my dry face.
• I scooped out the product with the included spatula or my hands.
• I gently massaged it, focusing on areas where blackheads and pores concerned me.
• After lightly massaging the heavily made-up areas, I added water to emulsify it.
• I rinsed it off thoroughly with lukewarm water.

What were the texture and container like?

The container fit comfortably in my palm, and its flip-top lid, clear inner cover, and small spatula made it easy to scoop out. Since it is a product that touches the skin, I appreciated the hygienic setup.

After using it, my skin felt soft. Rather than feeling like it locked moisture deep into the skin, it was closer to leaving a smooth feel on the surface.

Was it good as a travel cleansing product?

Since it was neither a water-based product nor a pack, I thought it would be good to bring on trips without worrying as much about it leaking in my bag. I did not notice dramatic changes in blackheads or pores, but it was useful on days when I wanted to conveniently clear off my overall makeup.
