Study café near Gangnam Station, 8F window seats: Selected Nicks
In short
Selected Nicks (셀렉티드닉스) is a large, multi-floor tiramisu café on Teheran-ro 4-gil near Gangnam Station Exit 3 in Seoul. On a rainy weekend afternoon, the writer studied at a window seat on the 20-seat 8th floor with a classic tiramisu (₩7,800), an iced matcha latte and an iced milk tea (₩7,000 each); the drinks weren't overly sweet and the tiramisu was soft. If you want to study near Gangnam Station over good tiramisu, the 8th floor of Selected Nicks is worth aiming for.

Is Selected Nicks near Gangnam Station a good café for studying?
Selected Nicks (셀렉티드닉스) is a large café with tiramisu as its signature, a 5-minute walk from Gangnam Station Exit 3, at 37 Teheran-ro 4-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. It's open Mon–Fri 08:00–24:00 and Sat–Sun 11:00–23:30. For parking, you go in through the back door and ask a staff member on the 1st floor.
I was looking for a big, quiet café near Gangnam Station to study in, and that's how I found Selected Nicks, near Gangnam Station on the Shinbundang Line.

I'd wanted to come for a long time and only got around to it now. They were also running a weekday lunch event, with Americanos for ₩3,000 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Selected Nicks uses several floors of one building. You order on the 1st floor and then sit on another floor. There seem to be offices on the middle floors, and customers can't go up there.
Selected Nicks floor guide and interior
Selected Nicks uses the B1, 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 8th floors plus the rooftop as café space. It was a rainy weekend, so I skipped the rooftop, and since the other floors were fairly full, I went straight up to the 8th floor.

As you can see, the café uses B1, 1F, 2F, 3F, 8F and the rooftop. It was raining on the day I went, so I didn't even think about the rooftop, and because the other floors were fairly full, I headed straight to the 8th floor.

Desserts at the Selected Nicks 1st-floor order counter
The order area on the 1st floor sells a really wide range of things. The 1st floor seems to have separate order and seating areas, but I didn't go into the seating part.

Selected Nicks sells lots of cookies, too, and tiramisu is also packed up separately for takeout.

There was also an ice cream brand I didn't recognize, promoted in a big display like a promotion, and it looked really good too. I didn't try it, though... haha

Selected Nicks is also quite famous for its financiers (small almond cakes) and cookies, and it looked like lots of people buy them to take away.

You pick items from the display shelves and pay at the counter!

This is Selected Nicks' tiramisu. There are so many kinds here that I want to try them all, but then I'd gain weight, so I can only have one T_T Since I was eating in, I didn't buy a packaged one.

They actually sell baked goods too, but when I went at around 3 p.m. on the weekend, almost everything was already sold out.

Selected Nicks 8th floor: the best floor for studying
The 8th floor of Selected Nicks has about 20 seats, so capacity is small, but it's said to be the floor best suited to studying. It reportedly opens to customers from 5 p.m. on weekdays, so you need to time your visit.
And this is the 8th floor I saw! Its capacity is rather small, but I'd heard it's still the best floor for studying. Luckily, there were still two window seats left for us.

By the way, the 8th floor is said to be available from 5 p.m. on weekdays. Before that, they probably use it for private rentals or something like that.

Selected Nicks weekday lunch Americano event
They were also running this kind of event. I only spotted it right before leaving, and even if I'd joined, I probably would have come in 4th, haha. I'd already paid, so it was too late anyway.

They're also giving out a lottery ticket (lotto) as an event. You get it for writing a Naver Place review. I meant to do it, but forgot and just walked out...
How do the Selected Nicks classic tiramisu, matcha latte and milk tea taste?
The classic tiramisu at Selected Nicks was bigger than expected, with soft mascarpone cheese and moist sponge. The iced matcha latte and iced milk tea weren't too sweet either, so they went well with the tiramisu.

I finally got to meet the famous Selected Nicks tiramisu! It was quite a bit bigger than I expected, and it looked even more appetizing.

The mascarpone cheese was very soft and the sponge was moist, so it was good. The drinks that came with it weren't very sweet either, so it was a dessert that works perfectly with a drink.

Honestly, since this is a café that specializes in tiramisu, I wondered whether they'd make good drinks. But the moment I took a sip, that doubt vanished: the sweetness was just right and they were made really well. Lots of cafés just make matcha lattes sweet, but here they balance a decent matcha aroma with the sweetness, and I loved it.

I didn't feel like coffee that day, so I ordered the milk tea, and it was brewed just right!

It looks like lots of people buy tiramisu to take away, too. Next time I come, I want to try a different kind. If you want to study while eating great tiramisu near Gangnam Station, I recommend Selected Nicks!
