Siheung Janggok-dong mala broth dinner buffet, 21,900 won: Pyeonbaek

Pyeonbaek Hoegwan Siheung Janggok Branch is an all-you-can-eat cypress-steam and shabu-shabu restaurant on the 3rd floor of Janggok Edu Tower in Janggok-dong, Siheung, Gyeonggi. On this visit, a regular of more than five trips came back after the renovation on a weekend at 8pm and had the mala and katsuo half-and-half broth at 21,900 won per person, along with Vietnamese rice-paper rolls, self-bar tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), sweet fried chicken and dessert. The dining room was nearly full, but the cypress steam and shabu-shabu quality held up, and the renovation gift of a cypress cube came as a bonus.
