Late weeknight sundae-guk set with rib soup in Goyang: Pyeongando
Pyeongando Restaurant Hwajeong Branch is a 24-hour gukbap (Korean soup with rice) restaurant right in front of the Deogyang District Office entrance in Hwajeong-dong, Goyang. Visiting on a weekday late evening with my sundae-guk (blood sausage soup) loving dad, we ordered the Pyeongando sundae-guk set and the ppyeo-haejangguk (pork bone soup) set, and the sets came with so much steamed pork and blood sausage on the side that we were already full before the soup even arrived. The broth was rich but never greasy, and the portions were generous — genuinely great value.
