I went to Tteudon Magok Branch (뜨돈 마곡점) for crispy handmade pork cutlet, cheese cutlet and chilled buckwheat noodles. The self-serve bar has soup, bread, tteokbokki and even ice cream, all free, so it's a great pick near Seoul Botanic Park for a family meal or lunch.
We're the family raising a very delicate, easily-tired son (we jokingly call him our little blobfish), and today we headed to a pork cutlet spot at Magok Station. Pork cutlet is something everyone loves, young and old, and this place got even more famous after a well-known mukbang YouTuber visited.
Where is Tteudon Magok Branch, and what are the hours and parking?
Tteudon Magok Branch is at 216, 194 Gonghang-daero, Gangseo-gu, Seoul, on the 2nd floor of the Queens Park 12 building in Magok. It's open Monday to Sunday from 10:30 AM to 9:00 PM, with last order at 8:30 PM. Parking is available in the building, and 2 hours are covered.
It's close to Magok Station, so it's really easy to get to. It sits in the middle of the Magok business district, full of office workers, so it's popular for lunch, and it's also an easy, no-fuss location for a family meal or a visit with kids.
Exterior and interior of Tteudon Magok Branch
The exterior is tidy, and the eye-catching standing sign made it easy to find. It had the warm feel you'd expect from a handmade pork cutlet shop, and even before we stepped inside you could feel that lively energy of a popular restaurant.

It's already a famous pork cutlet restaurant in Daegu, and just seeing the exterior got our hopes up even higher.
The inside was bright and pleasant. The tables are spaced generously, so it works for families and for office group meals alike. It's also comfortable if you come with a stroller or small kids, which I really appreciated.

The self-serve bar and play area at Tteudon Magok Branch
At the self-serve bar you can help yourself to soup and bread, and even tteokbokki and ice cream, all for free. Honestly, this bar was the most impressive part. We could enjoy it properly both before and after the meal.

On one side there's also a small play area where kids can play for a bit. That lets families with young children relax and eat more comfortably, so I'd recommend it as a family dining spot too.
Tteudon Magok Branch menu and what we ordered
Tteudon Magok Branch is known for handmade pork cutlet and kongguksu (cold soy milk noodles). Besides the signature Tteudon pork cutlet and cheese cutlet, the rich kongguksu, made with 100% domestic soybeans ground by millstone every day, is said to be much loved. Best of all, every dish is cooked to order, so it's fresher and tastier.

- Tteudon cheese cutlet ₩13,900
- Cold buckwheat noodles (pan-memil) ₩8,900
- Total ₩35,700
Even the soup served before the food was satisfying. It was smooth and nutty, and it naturally got our appetite going. It was also nice that we could freely help ourselves to bread and tteokbokki at the self-serve bar.

After the meal you can have ice cream for free too, and I could see why this place is so popular with families.
How does the Tteudon pork cutlet (₩12,900) taste?
The Tteudon pork cutlet and cheese cutlet came out freshly cooked after we ordered. What caught my eye first was the generous size and the golden-brown fry. It looked so crispy just sitting there, really appetizing.

I tried the Tteudon pork cutlet first. The moment I bit in, the crunchy coating and juicy meat together were really impressive.

They say they use fresh, chilled domestic Korean pork (hanDon), and it was juicy yet clean-tasting, with no gamey smell.

Maybe thanks to the top-grade wet breadcrumbs, the coating was light and crispy, and I liked the ratio of meat to batter. Dipped in the house-made special sauce, it was sweet with a savory depth, and I kept reaching for another piece.

It was also fun to tuck the cutlet into the morning rolls from the self-serve bar and make a little cutlet burger. A combination that gives you Tteudon's own kind of charm.
Tteudon cheese cutlet (₩13,900): is it too greasy?

Even with plenty of cheese inside, the Tteudon cheese cutlet wasn't greasy at all and tasted clean and mild. If you like cheese, I'd really encourage you to try it.

The cheese stretching out the moment I cut it in half grabbed my attention, and the sight alone raised my expectations. It was packed with nutty cheese, so the flavor was rich, and the crispy coating with the tender loin was excellent. I enjoyed it right down to the last bite.
Pairing with cold buckwheat noodles (pan-memil, ₩8,900)

The pan-memil (cold buckwheat noodles served on a tray, ₩8,900) we ordered alongside was good too. The chilled broth and chewy buckwheat noodles go really well together.

The broth was clean yet savory, plenty to revive your appetite in hot weather, and the buckwheat noodles had a springy bite that made them fun to chew.
With the ice cream for dessert at the end, it all came together as a really filling meal. Having eaten here myself, I fully understand why it's so loved as a pork cutlet restaurant in the Magok, airport and Banghwa area.

Who is Tteudon Magok Branch for?
If you're craving crispy handmade pork cutlet, I'd recommend Tteudon Magok Branch. The cutlet is carefully made with good ingredients, and the free soup, bread, tteokbokki and ice cream made it a place I was really happy with. If you're looking for a Magok restaurant that's good with kids, it's worth a visit at least once.
