Why we stopped at Angry Potato in Bucheon's Hyundai food hall during vacation

Angry Potato's Bucheon Jungdong branch is in the B1 food hall of Hyundai Department Store Jungdong. It's school vacation, so we came to Bucheon with my little crew (my "dungdung" kids)! We went to buy fruit, then ended up at Angry Potato, a Hyundai Bucheon favorite, and devoured the menu 👍

What is Angry Potato?

Angry Potato says it was "created to find the right answer to fast food." The menu includes fries made from 100% fresh potatoes and fried to order, plus Chewy Potato, mini burgers, Hot Crunch chicken, Angry potato chips, cheese sticks and a range of dipping sauces. They say everything is cooked by hand daily with fresh ingredients for health, so I could feed the kids here with peace of mind 👍

Angry Potato's signature items are potato chips and fries, and the menu is pretty varied, with cheese sticks, crunch chicken, shakes and more. Here's what our group ordered.

Fries topped with a honey-combo topping, and the looks are insane, right? The cheese sticks and burger skewers look so tempting too 👍 Seeing that cheese stick pull again, I'm drooling ㅠㅠ

I think the biggest perk is that when you eat in at Angry Potato, you can squeeze on as much topping sauce as you want, self-serve?? We drizzled our favorite sauces all over the chicken :)

Everything is cooked on the spot as soon as you order, so the food comes out piping hot and delicious :)

How did the 5–6-year-olds like it? From Chewy Potato to shakes

A full spread was laid out!! Chewy Potato, cheese sticks, mini burgers and shakes for my little ones 👍 My 5- and 6-year-olds ate really well, hahaha

Chewy Potato: a texture like Taiwanese fried milk

Angry Potato's Chewy Potato tasted a bit like the fried milk (deep-fried custard-like dessert) I had in Taiwan, and it just melts in your mouth, so the kids practically inhaled it! Eat it right after cooking and it's crispy; give it a little time and it turns chewy. The texture is spot on 👍

Great value, and a table full of things that can't possibly taste bad!

Mini shake size: are small ones enough for four kids?

The mini shakes were quite generous, even split among four kids. With four kids I was going to order two large ones, but the owner recommended the small ones, saying they're not small in amount. So I tried just two small ones first, and even the mini size was plenty 👍 My kids loved them, asking if it was ice cream, haha

The inside is so soft and chewy, it's unreal ㅜㅜ This is a taste anyone, of any age, is bound to love!!

Cheese sticks: chili for adults, plain for the kids

Angry Potato says its cheese sticks are made with 100% natural whole mozzarella 👍 See that cheese pull? The adults polished off the chili ones and the kids the plain cheese sticks, in no time :)

Mini Burger Skewer: small, but will it fill you up?

Angry Potato's mini burgers are handmade on brioche buns. Don't underestimate them for being small, hahaha. They're surprisingly filling? It's an amount that lets kids eat their fill.

What my kids devoured was the shrimp burger. One sauce is free when you order the Mini Burger Skewer, so I picked ranch, and dunking in lots of sauce is just as delicious!!

The brined chicken burger went to me, the mom ^^ It's hard to find anything that doesn't go with ranch!

There was even a beef burger with two beef patties, extra hearty. Thanks to the burgers, it became a really satisfying meal 👍

Fresh potato chips at home, and the overall verdict

Then the fresh potato chips we ate the moment we got home, hands barely washed: salty, and I honestly couldn't stop? The kids and I devoured them ^^

Angry Potato at Hyundai Jungdong in Bucheon: every item felt made with real care, the prices are fair, the menu is something anyone of any age would like, and you can pick sauces to your taste. You have to go here! I recommend it as a Hyundai Bucheon food hall favorite 👍
